Darian crossed his arms behind him, a regal air about him. "Excuse us, Ladies."
Fiona and Ariana nodded and stepped out, leaving Althea alone with Darian. A single flower dropped beside her bed as Darian took a seat opposite her. Althea bit her lips nervously, wondering if he had overheard their conversation.
'He didn't,' a voice echoed inside her mind, a voice that sounded like Carolina. 'Yes, it is me. I have entered into your wolf and became a part of you.'
Althea, though surprised, maintained her composure and chuckled nervously. "Going for a walk. We were just talking about going for a walk."
Darian squinted his eyes, studying her. "A walk? At this hour?"
Althea shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant. "Late-night stroll, you know. Clears the mind."
