Bab 3: Chapter 2 - Destiny

While the surroundings were breathtaking, there was not much time to waste. I had no idea how long I would last with this regained power and strength, so I had to move fast. I inspected my body a little to see if there were any visible problems or not, but there were none to my eyes which should be a good sign.

To get to our domain, I'd have to travel through the light dimension which is basically a path for us upper beings. I brought forth the screen again and searched in my power tab for the door to the dimension. Back when the six of us were together, one of us would've taken the lead every other time to head to the same place as our synergy would be too high for separated travelling. Plus, it used to be much more fun. We'd hold each other's hand and tease one other while on our way.

)<—>Heaven's Door<—>(

This particular word had the power to bring a smile to all our faces. Except, none of them were here. It was time to go get them. I clicked it and waited to be sucked out of the air. For a few seconds nothing happened.

And then the most abnormal thing happened.

The sky cracked, leaving an enormous gap through which came out a black-violet wing, shining as bright as a corpse's souls and gesturing using a black fog towards entering it. Something was definitely wrong. This had never happened before. Heaven's Door works in a way that wherever we are, it directly sucks us out of our dimension and puts us in the light dimension for our traveling. But a dark wing to come out; my intuition had to be on point, and if it was, then I knew who took care of it.

Krael had talked about such a thing happening and referred to it as a dimension breakage, but never told me the reason it happened. However, what she did say was, "Dimensional breakages are a very rare occurrence; but whenever they happen, it tends to be something bad. Whoever attempts to enter the breakage is mercilessly put under pressure high enough to break their minds and bodies." Only two people from us six have ever seen a dimensional breakage, but I don't believe either of them have travelled in one. I reached my arm out to the wing, and the fog reached out to me as if embracing me in its arms, and carried me through the breakage. Had something like this happened in front of humans, they'd have tried to get in my way or launched raids to enter the breakages or done something stupid, despite knowing their bodies wouldn't be able to stand the pressure.

"Krael, are you awake yet?" I asked in my head again. But, no response. I had to wake her up quickly.

On entering, I immediately sensed an issue. A strangely calming and warm sensation.

This was unusual.

By the look and feel of a dimensional breakage, it should be cold and sneer, if not traumatizing. Yet here I was, being almost literally embraced by the environment. I could picture myself with the others travelling to different places, helping out people, having fun together, participating in the human events after sizing ourselves to them. These memories hurt but felt comforting.

"I wanna sleep," I thought.

<A sudden uncontrollable desire>

"No, I have to find them," I also thought.

My thoughts were getting messed up.

"Sleep."

"Find."

"Sleep."

"Find."

My head ached. It was a non-stop argument and extremely annoying, not to mention distracting. I lit my hand on fire with a pale-blue flame and slapped my forehead as shock treatment, and immediately snapped out of it. It hurt a little, but no matter.

This little rift could not be a regular breakage. It had to be done by somebody, and I believe I know who did it, though the only way to make sure would have to be by going back and finding out.

Except he might be out of commission.

The issue however?

The dimension didn't close.

It should've closed the moment I entered, but if it didn't....it'll be one heck of a problem.

From the inside, there were what looked like stars twinkling here and there at night and some partitions which no idea should or should not be there. I felt myself being taken, instead of going myself. There wasn't much difference in the experience, except this one felt faster and urgent for some reason. I let myself be zig-zagged through the dimension, but my senses told me something was wrong. A dimensional breakage should not be warped, let alone remain open that was and then remain that way (I assume broken).

And I was right.

The stars around me started glowing, and the partitions in the surrounding area started to melt, giving me some more space to move around, but I didn't know if this wing would as well move or not. Suddenly, a star approached me at rocket speed. "Overbod," I muttered, initiating a shield over me. Right before hitting me, it exploded and released smoke, hiding everything in my sight. One of my powers - Crazy Sense - which I hadn't used as much even back then, was something which could come in handy right about now.

I sensed heat and light coming from behind me, so I jumped upwards with such force I lost some balance. Two other stars blasted, releasing fire which caused an incredible light show, and a third one started changing its trajectory. This place didn't seem to have much gravity, and I wasn't used to this body, but I tried to open the screen through my palm except didn't have time to see if or not crazy sense was there as that star blasted through the smoke and came straight at me. This one was brighter than the previous ones and dodging it in mid-air would not be possible.

"Physical rejuvenation," I said, stabilizing and temporarily strengthening my body. Pulling back my right hand, I focused extra strength on the fist, closed it and muttered, "Työntää." Veins popped out on my arm, and the air around cooled down. Dark push lines formed in front of my fist. The star came upon me and with all the built-up strength, I punched it.

The star was actually made up of some hard material and was in the shape of a ball. The force of my fist cracked it, and because there was no distance between the ball and my hand, the lines had been compressed. With a very slight jerk of my knuckle, the lines expanded and exploded, shattering the ball into nothingness. There was a return force on me which blew me back, but even greater was the response over that punch. The punch having so much strength in it created an echo effect which cleared out all the smoke instantly, and cracked all the other stars surrounding me, even cracking the wing a little.

"Wow, I still have some incredible strength," I praised myself in my mind My sleeve had torn, unable to withstand the pressure. "I wonder what Krael would think of this." And her thought made me sad again.

The wing came up and caught me, and we continued onward. Soon, we slowed down to what seemed like a corridor, having cracks on both the walls. I got dropped at that point, and the blank wing disintegrated. Behind me was a wall indicating I had no choice but to move forward; and so that's what I exactly did.

It wasn't a very long walk, and the cracks on the walls were a constant pattern as if to say, "We're dangerous, beware!" Slowly, I could spot the door and within a few minutes almost reached it. But somebody was in front of it, shrouded in mist, standing guard. It was difficult to recognize who it was, and I had to get through that door.

"Would it be better to call them out, or should I approach without making any sound?" I thought. I decided to take a step and then call out. That way I could make sure using both ways whether or not I knew the one in front of me.

I took a step and called out, "He—"

The mist immediately turned to ice crystals in the shape of daggers. The one shrouded in mist opened his eyes and gave me a creepy smile.

"Welcome back on waking up," he spoke in a deep voice, "And goodbye, for your destiny is to succumb to me."

He didn't shoot the ice-daggers at me, and I had a feeling he wanted to have some fun before trying to kill me. He didn't seem all that powerful, but my gut told me he was a familiar species.

"Are you human?" I ask him.

He looked surprised, then answered, "Well yes, but no—"

I didn't let him finish. I wasn't going to let these people, full humans or not try to seal me again.

Raging, I pushed myself into the ground and yelled, "PHYSICAL REJUVENATION - CLOCK," and instantly teleported behind him. The ground broke and the air heated up. He turned around in disbelief and tried to jump back, except he couldn't as I was faster and concentrating my strength again, I punched him in the gut screaming,

"DESTINY ACCESS, REVOKED!"
