Bab 209: Bitter victory

Xeik smiled triumphantly when he looked up and saw his name big and bold on the leaderboard. He dissolved the Twelve Celestial Gates and saw Blossom with a timid-looking girl standing behind her and a pile of unconscious men at her feet.

She looked extremely cute in her desert-colored leather suit. This was meant to blend in, but her flaming red hair made that impossible. She noticed the gates disappearing and saw Xeik with his blade to Geld's neck.

She smiled brightly and ran toward him. Xeik saw her reaction and smiled brightly. At that moment, something tackled him to the ground. It was Blossom's avatar. He felt her coming over, but he expected a hug, not an aggressive tackle. He looked back to see that where he was standing before had dozens of metal spikes protruding from the ground. His heart skipped a beat, and his blood ran cold.
