The sound of heavy rain woke Jade from her sleep. She immediately got up and got ready. It didn't matter if it rains, she would still go to her campus because she had business to attend to. That was if she was ready or not.
Jade tied her hair back and put on her leather jacket. She grabbed her bag and went downstairs. There was no visible bridge of Zack's nose. When her father wasn't around, Zack usually left a note on the fridge door.
And yes, Zack left a note that he was with his friends and breakfast was ready so she only needed to warm up.
Jade looked at corn soup with grilled chicken in hot sauce. This weather was perfect for eating hot food. She finally heated it up while drinking blood from the blood bag she carried in her bag.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
While Jade was waiting for the microwave to finish, someone knocked on her door. She tried to recognize his scent and her face broke into a smile.
"Come in, Max," Jade shouted.
