Bab 91: Dinner Together Like Family

"So you don't want to?" Jade asked, elbowing him with a smile and teasing him.

But Shane's face still showed a very serious attitude. For him, making love to his mate was not something to play around with. And again, the situation was also different.

Shane shook his face in rejection of Jade. "No. I'd rather have sex with another girl who is not my mate than with my own but the situation is that you belong to another man," Shane replied.

Jade's throat tightened at Shane's answer. Even though she was joking at first, hearing such a serious answer and rejection made her feel sad again.

"Then can you get rid of that sad feeling of yours? My wound feels throbbing," Jade asked as she showed her wrist.

Shane saw it. He took Jade's hand and touched the wound. Slowly the throbbing pain disappeared because of his touch. And she just realized that Shane's touch was awesome on her skin.

"The throb is gone," Jade said quietly.
