Bab 84: Countryside [3]

Lincoln scoffed at the statement the lady so casually said. His clutch on the bag's handle got tighter. The two of them carefully stepped inside the room, scanning each corner to see any issues that need of fixing. 

"This seems like a decent house to spend the rest of my life in," Tiffany jokingly said, chuckling at the very end of her sentence. She doesn't mean it but who knows? Perhaps, she will.

He shook his head as he walked over to the bed. Letting the two bags fall on the center of it, he didn't waste the opportunity to check how soft the mattress was. He cautiously sat down on it. The bed was not like those which they were using in the city but comfortable enough to sleep at night. 

"Not bad," he said before standing straight on his feet.
