Immediately he fall on to her embrace and she held him for support.

Damn! he was too heavy for her, she was so regretting coming outside to make sense into him.

But if he died outside her house and with their ongoing case she might get implicated and the last thing she wants right now is having her name tainted.

She had worked very hard to be where she was today and for any price she was not ready to lose it.

Dragging him inside her apartment Lai helped him settle down on the only available small couch and increased the warmth of the room.

" What's wrong with you....why would you do that" Lai complained as she looked at not very okay Gold who seem hardly able to respond.

Looking at his wet clothes, she contemplated whether to remove them or not and decided to do it.

She held his shirt buttons and started undoing them hastily while he watches but was too cold.
