EMILY'S STANDPOINT
The adrenaline rush I felt this morning rushing to work in other to get to the office before Alexander was one I hadn't felt in ages.
The last time I ran this much was when I challenged one of the street guys and then his gang members showed up to support him. I didn't need anyone to tell me to run, my legs had a mind of it's own. Once it signals danger, it takes off without hesitation.
I was furious when Alexander made me denounce my win and declare him the winner instead.
He was being childish and just wouldn't accept defeat when he clearly lost to me.
"One cappuccino for me please," I required, laying on the table in Leona's coffee shop totally drained. This would have to be the 30th time I was coming here.
Why the hell did Alexander have so many people working for him?
I never knew they were this much until I had to serve every single one of them.
