“We’ve both had terrible relationships in the past, haven’t we?”

“You can say that again.”

“I know, but I won’t. There’s one thing I really appreciate about you, though.”

Pablo gazed into Keenan’s eyes for a short moment before winking. “My sexy ass?”

Keenan burst out laughing. “That, too, but I was referring to your phone calls and text messages. I know I’m kind of clingy and possessive, so I’m glad you keep in touch with me every hour or so throughout the day. I feel less anxious that way.”

“Good.”

“It’s not that I don’t trust you, but I feel better whenever I hear from you.”

Pablo smiled at Keenan. “You don’t have to explain yourself to me. I understand.”

Keenan’s cheeks reddened a little. “Thanks.”

After that, neither of them uttered a single word. Pablo was content to simply snuggle close to Keenan as they watched the rest of the movie. When it ended, he decided it was time to leave. He stood before pulling Keenan up to his feet.
