Bab 124: Tears

When Noelle's eyes flutter open, the familiar ceiling of his room greets him, the dim light filtering through the luxurious curtains casting a warm glow on the space. His head feels heavy, and the weight of exhaustion still lingers in his limbs. He glances to his side, and there, standing watchful as ever, is Doris, her posture stiff but her eyes filled with concern.

Noelle blinks a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of his fainting spell. Slowly, he pushes himself up, and Doris moves quickly to assist him, her hands gentle but firm as she helps him sit up properly.

"How long have I been out?" Noelle asks, his voice a bit hoarse.

"Just an hour, my lord," Doris responds, her usual calm demeanor returning.

Noelle nods, letting out a small hum in response, his mind still catching up to his body. He feels a strange restlessness, a nagging sensation that something is about to change.
