He leaned his back against the chair and spoke in a calm voice.

"You guys passed out for quite a few hours; your reaction time is still slow; you were able to deploy your mana shields on time…"

"Well, I don't blame you for that… Even a peak grade-3 mage wouldn't have been able to react to that sudden explosion…"

Although Jareth said those words of consoling, the trio still felt complicated in their hearts.

This is the first time they have seen an acquaintance die in front of them like that.

Although Emu was not a friend or anything and they had just gotten acquainted with her, her death still caused the three of them to feel various complex emotions.
