YIFAN'S POV
Feng Junjie, the so-called CEO, thinks he's unbeatable—just because he has the backing of his brothers, the so-called "family." But what he doesn't understand is that backing can only take you so far. It can give you power, but it can't win you everything. For that, you need more. You need talent, cunning, and the ability to strike when your opponent least expects it.
If Junjie thinks he's won this round by capturing Chris, he has no idea how well I prepared for that. That move? Predictable. But I'm two steps ahead.
A screech of a wheelchair broke my thoughts, pulling me back into the present. My housekeeper wheeled my elder sister, Qian, into the room. I kneel before her, my hands tenderly gripping her frail wrist. I raise it carefully so she can put tie around my neck, a simple task that feels like a ritual.
"I like the color," I said softly, admiring the shade as it glinted in the light. "It speaks of you, Sista."
A reader of mine said there should be a tattoo on Jun that should represent Yiren's mother as she was an important part of his life. She was correct! So I made the changes and added a few more lines in the last chapter.
Enjoy.
