Bab 382: Jason and Lucy vs Brandish
(Third Person POV)
Brandish stood in front of Jason, Lucy, and Wendy as Happy floated above them.
"This ain't good..." Jason said, "Who knows what he'll do to Natsu..."
"I suggest you stop worrying about him." Brandish said as she raised her arm, "And worry about yourself."
Before Brandish could do anything, Jason readied his spear as it had switched forms.
"Melforce: Vacuum Thrust!"
He thrust his spear as it shot a massive shockwave at Brandish which staggered her. The attack was powerful enough to create an opening for Jason to lunge at Brandish.
He appeared right in front of her as the Shield looked at him with a surprised look.
"Damn you.." Brandish said as she dodged several of Jason's spear thrusts
She jumped away as she placed her hand on the ground. She then swung her arm upwards, flinging several pieces of rock at Jason.
"Expansion"
The rocks instantly expanded into massive boulders as they collided with Jason, sending him reeling back. The sudden addition of mass to the rocks caused the impact to be great enough to catch even Jason off guard.
"Shit..." He said
Suddenly, the massive boulders exploded with a golden light.
Jason saw a young man with brown hair, wearing a black suit as he fixed his tie.
'Lucy's celestial spirit?' Jason thought to himself
Brandish was patting her coat as she raised an eyebrow, "What's this?"
Loki, the Celestial Spirit, fixed his sunglasses as he looked over at Brandish.
"Oh?" Loki said with a slight smile, "What kind of beauty does Lucy have me fighting?"
Jason looked over at Lucy, "Really?" He said, "This guy?"
Lucy smiled nervously, "I wanted to help.." She said
Jason straightened up as he walked over next to Leo who was looking at him.
"You're the infamous Jason, eh?" Leo said with a smile, "I've heard good things about you from Virgo."
Jason looked at him, "Now's not the time for that." He said seriously, "Get your head together, this is a fight."
"Hehe." Loki chuckled, "For Lucy, I'll be as focused as I could ever be."
"Good." Jason said before glancing back, "Hey Wendy!"
Wendy looked at him, "Y-Yes!" She said
"I leave the army's advancement to you." Jason said, "Happy and Carla will support you."
Wendy widened her eyes, "T-The army?" She said
"Lucy and I will deal with this one." Jason said looking back at Brandish, "You're strong. I am sure you can handle them. Stay in the air, hit them with your ranged attacks."
"B-But..." Wendy said
"Now's not the time to doubt yourself." Jason said seriously, "Don't worry about fighting about the Shield that's leading them. Stay as far away from him as possible. If you can't do anything without fighting him, retreat. Now go."
Lucy looked at Wendy, "It's okay, Wendy..." Lucy said while smiling, "You're strong, just like Jason says. You can handle this."
Wendy nodded, "O-Okay..." She said, "I'll do my best!"
"Aye sir!" Happy said, "I don't know where Natsu is, but I'll go with Wendy!"
"Yea." Lucy said, "Natsu'll be fine, I just know it."
Happy grabbed Wendy and began to fly away as Carla, who was flying the small airship above them, began to follow them.
"I hope they can handle this...." Carla said as she looked down, "We may need their help if we encounter the other Shield..."
Brandish watched as Wendy and the others left.
"Hmph." She said, "As if it'll make any difference."
Leo began to charge up light on his hand, the golden glow emitting from his ring.
"You ready?" Leo asked Jason
Jason readied his spear, "Yea." He said, "Whatever you do, stay back. She'll alter both of your masses. Her magic doesn't work on me, so I'll take the lead. Give me support."
"Roger." Loki said
"Support?" Brandish said, "You're going to need more than that to take me on."
"Nah." Jason said, "We'll be more than enough."
Loki then raised his fist as the light began to shine from his body.
"Lion's Brilliance!!"
Leo's body released a bright golden light that shone and blinded Brandish, who attempted to cover her eyes with her forearms. The light was powerful enough to cause a shockwave that staggered the shield aside from momentarily blinding her.
Jason then immediately appeared next to her as he had his spear in his hand. This time, it was in it's default form.
"Eisenmeteor: Skewering Drill!"
Jason thrust his spear at Brandish, the blades were glowing bright green as the spear-head spun rapidly while it shot straight at her.
"Dammit!" Brandish said as she managed to shrink herself just in time
Jason's spear hit the empty spot where Brandish was, causing a massive shockwave as the attack caused a massive hole in the ground.
Brandish then appeared next to him and punched him in the midsection as her fist was slightly larger than normal. The punch was powerful enough to send him reeling.
"Shit!" Jason said as he reeled back
Loki then appeared in front of Brandish as he gathered a massive amount of golden light into his palm before he closed it in a fist.
"Regulus Impact!!"
He swung his fist and struck at Brandish, who blocked the punch. She was then sent reeling back as the light had exploded and caused a massive shockwave.
"Tch!" She said as she straightened up
Lucy then appeared next to her, with surprising speed. Her outfit had changed to that of a black dress with Leo's symbol at the top of her chest.
"Star-Dress: Leo Form"
She then gathered light in her left leg as she swung it at Brandish.
"Regulus Lucy Kick!!"
She struck Brandish in the midsection and sent her reeling further back as the light exploded and caused another shockwave.
Loki smiled, "Nice, Lucy!" He said
Lucy stood there as she looked at Brandish, "Yea..." She said
"Get back, Lucy!!" Jason yelled
Lucy looked back at him with surprise right before she disappeared.
Loki widened his eyes, "W-What?!"
"Don't move, Loki!" Jason said as he lunged forwards, "I'll distract her!!"
Jason had lunged past the spot where Lucy was and thrust his spear at Brandish who had summoned a wall of earth to shield herself.
"Tch!" Brandish said, "How troublesome..."
Suddenly, the wall exploded as Jason reared his spear back, it's form was that of the red spear; Explosion.
Jason then readied a stance as his body began to glow.
"War Magic: Armor of The Spear God"
Suddenly, Jason was clad in a dark gray steel armor. It had completely covered him, it resembled that of a rugged demon's skin; the steel looked dull and battle-torn, several blade-like spikes sprouted from the majority of it. Its helm completely covered Jason's head, two blade-like horns sprouting backward.
The armor began to release an immense magic power as his spear began to release an aura of itself.
Jason then switched forms of his spear, immediately striking at Brandish, who was completely shocked at the fact she was struck by several thrusts from a distance.
"W-What?!" She said as she took a step back
She wasn't only shocked by the fact she was struck, she was more shocked that the attacks didn't do any damage. It was as if the spear had phased right through her.
"Runesave: Magic Revert"
Suddenly, Lucy appeared next to Loki who had a look of surprise.
"Lucy!" He exclaimed
Lucy was sweating with nervousness, "What scary magic..." She said, "She shrunk me in an instant, Loki...."
Loki widened his eyes, "Is that so...." He said, "But never mind that...."
Lucy nodded, "Yea..." She said, "Jason's armor.....it's almost like he can use Requip, like Erza....but the feeling is different."
Jason glanced back at them, "You guys okay?" He said, "Prepare yourself. We ain't done yet. Lucy...."
Lucy looked at him, "Y-Yea?" She said
She couldn't see Jason's expression due to his helm, but from the tone of his voice, she was able to tell he was serious about this current situation. They were in a serious battle so she knew she had to follow his lead, no matter what.
"Use it." Jason said
Lucy widened her eyes slightly, "You mean...." She said
Jason nodded, "Yea." She said,
"Do it."
