Bab 70: Chapter 70 - Headquarters' Inventory
Zoey's insistence on wanting him to come to the headquarters', Zach finally gives in however, only after having lunch did he finally head to Earth. Before that, he had a talk with Eun Ae first about the current situation of the shelter which he had learn many things.
After talking to Eun Ae, Zach then immediately went to Earth as he got out of the portal and arrived inside the headquarters where he could see people coming in and out of the building with excited smiles on their faces.
Greeting everyone inside, Zach then climbed to the second floor and headed straight to the Rangers' Office where Zoey was working. Entering inside, he saw that aside from her, there were also other survivors around helping her with the work.
"Zach, you're here. Perfect timing. Another batch of new items has just arrived. Why don't you come with me to the headquarters' inventory? I'm sure you will be surprised by how many new items we have gathered all this time." Zoey immediately headed to Zach and excitedly told him everything.
With that, Zach and Zoey then headed to the headquarters' inventory as they entered a securely guarded room from which after getting inside, the former's eyes widened in surprise after seeing items placed on the shelves and tables all around the room. Each of them really were items that he didn't know about with some he was familiar with as he had also acquired them when he was out there for a month.
"We have a few bronze items here but I'm sure that they would not make you more excited than the three items here." Zoey said from which she immediately looked at the place before walking towards a particular shelf taking the three items that were placed on it and presenting them to Zach.
Zach looked at the items that Zoey had given to him which immediately widened his eyes. The three items were none other than a pistol, a bullet, and the last one was something that looked like the Fire Bomb that he had in his inventory but he was sure that they were different upon seeing that the content inside was blue in color.

Looking at their information, Zach was already surprised by the Ice Bomb however, his attention was immediately focused on the War Pistol. He then just took it from Zoey's hand and had a closer look at it. Its appearance really was like that of a gun, however, there was something different about it as he could not see the magazine where the bullets would be placed.
"It's cool. right? In fact, there are another three but this is a little tricky so I didn't make any haste decision as it needs your permission. How about you stay here for a moment while I'll go out quick and get it ready." Zoey said after she remembered something. With that, she then immediately left the headquarters' inventory and left the building.
On the other hand, Zach was already satisfied with the War Pistol and the Ice Bomb on his hand but hearing that there was something more, he couldn't help but feel excited since it must be of the same quality as the items in his hands. With that, he then just waited inside just like Zoey said while he took a look around wanting to see the items in the room.
Not long after, Zach was called by Zoey to get out of the headquarters building and come to the canteen on the west side of the base. Hearing this, he then immediately left the room while now getting curious as to what it really was.
Arriving in the canteen, Zach saw several people sitting while looking at him with a guilty expression on their faces. He looked carefully at them as he couldn't remember them at all from which he then looked at Zoey wanting to know what was happening.
"Zach. They are the people who broke away from us two months ago and they have come back here wanting to apologize for what they did and that they wanted to be accepted again." Zoey said after seeing Zach's inquiring look.
"And how is it connected to the surprise that you wanted me to see? Did you want me to see them so I can kill them?" Zach felt a little surprised after hearing Zoey as he immediately looked at the 27 people in the canteen.
Zach never thought that he would meet them again, but it was something that he had already anticipated, thinking that something must have happened which left them no choice but to come back and shamelessly wanting to rejoin the base.
"Zach. I know that what we did was very selfish, but we regret doing such a thing. We shamelessly came here to ask for forgiveness and give us a second chance and promise that we will no longer betray you." A man who was probably the leader of the group said while looking at Zach anxiously and nervously since he knew that what they were doing was just too shameless.
"Then give me a reason why I would accept you back." Zach replied while looking at the man seriously. He can't deny that he felt a little angry at their shamelessness but he wouldn't make it hard for them as he thought that they might have something that made Zoey decide to have him meet them.
Hearing Zach, the man looked at Zoey from which he then took out something from his inventory and presented them to Zach. They were three items that he and his group acquired while they were surviving on their own and it was something that he wanted to bargain to have Zach accept and forgive them.
Looking at the three items that the man took out, Zach then immediately used appraisal to them seeing one of the items was probably a precious skill book, the other one was something like a pair of earrings, and lastly, the one he was interested the most was the item that looked like a crystal.

The surprise and excitement in Zach's eyes were very visible, especially after seeing a familiar name on one of the items presented to him however, he immediately recollected and calmed himself down as he looked at the man once again.
"What are these items all about?" Zach asked.
"We want to bargain with these for you to accept and give us a chance. Please, Zach." The man replied sincerely while hoping that he would like it since there was no longer anything he could offer aside from these three.
"Hohh. What's your name?" Zach said but he could no longer contain his excitement inside of him upon thinking that finally, he could now have the means to evolve his skills.
"I'm Gerald." Gerald introduced before looking at Zach wanting to see the expression on his face.
"Good. I'll accept you back however, you will first receive your punishment and that would be being banned from going to Pluto Sanctuary for a month. What you will be doing in the meantime is to help the construction of Eden in other countries. Don't worry about your living expenses as you will be paid. My sister, Zoey, will guide you back to the headquarters so that you all can be registered on Eden." Zach then said before taking out the three items Gerald had and immediately left the place.
"Zach must like the items you have. In fact, I actually thought Zach would really kill you. Well, since it's his order. Then, follow me." Zoey said after seeing Zach already walked away. With that, she then just turned around and started heading back to the headquarters.
On the other hand, Gerald and the others breathed in relief upon hearing Zach's verdict as they were already at their limits as their Evolution Coins could no longer support them for the following days. With that, they then just followed Zoey back to the headquarters while looking around the place from to time.
On the other hand, Zach could now be found outside of Eden together with Adam and Eve as he wanted to be alone so that nobody would see how excited he was right at the moment. After arriving at the lake where he killed the Mutated Deer before, he immediately sat down on the ground and took out the items that he had acquired.

"Let's test this out." Zach stood up and looked at the distance before using the skill Blink and in an instant, his position immediately changed gaining Adam and Eve's sudden surprised which they immediately walked towards him with curiosity.
"This is great." Zach said after using the skill as he actually didn't just want to see how it worked but also wanted to know if there were any side effects of using which he found nothing and the fact that it doesn't have any cooldown meant that he could use it indefinitely as long as he had enough Spirit.
"The Skill Cost are just too much. Given my current Spirit, I could only use it three times. Well, let's see the changes of it when it evolves." Zach said from which he then took out a number of Evolution Crystals from his inventory as he had duplicated it already.

Following that, he then moved on to this next agenda since he had now an Appraisal Skill that could discern anything under Tier 1.
