Bone-lasher rushed the primordial and slapped it across the maw with one swift swipe of its paws. It didn't even have enough time to react to the slap as it was sent flying back. Bone-lasher chased after it and slapped it up into the air with quick swipe that raked his claws along the concrete before the primordial landed. He watched the primordial hit on of the ceiling supports so hard it dented, then fell helplessly to the ground.
Bone-lasher then crouched low to the ground and jumped into the air, twisting his body in mid-air as he spin he brings his scythe-like tail down. The razor-sharp edge of the blade cut through the primordial's shoulder like butter.
The primordial let out a pained scream and grabbed the nub where Bone-lasher had cut his arm off. He landed on his back with a big thud that cracked the concrete below only to have Bone-lasher land on top of him with even greater force and knock the air out of the primordial's lungs.
"That was for cutting the Boss's arm…this is for calling me weak!" Bone-lasher growled then jumped off the primordial and grabbed his leg in his mouth; breaking it effortlessly with a loud wet crunch; and then spinning around and flinging him across the lab over to the splicing circle.
The primordial crashed into several shelves on his way. Luckily, none of them had anything on them. Bone-lasher raced after the primordial, and I gave chase after him. When we reached the evo, we saw it was laying on its back, grasping its severed arm with its intact shoulder and bleeding heavily from its leg. The leg stopped bleeding in a matter of seconds and started to heal the broken bones this however was much slower than healing the skin. The primordial's arm was not growing back at all, however, or at least now, while there was still damage to its leg.
Bone-lasher growled low and stalked around the primordial slowly, letting him heal. The primordial hissed loudly and didn't take his eyes off Bone-lasher. I watched the primordial's behavior from outside of the large circle that Bone-lasher walked around it. It was angry and confused. It had believed that it was stronger than both of us and couldn't wrap his head around Bone-lasher's sudden transformation and my burst of power.
"You're letting him heal?" I asked.
"He dared to hurt YOU! He called me weak! He called you WEAK!" Bone-lasher growled, his rock armor bristled even more as he spoke, and his words echoed grimly around the vastness of the laboratory. "HE...WILL…KNOW…PAIN!"
The primordial's leg finished healing as Bone-lasher spoke. In one swift motion, the primordial snapped his remaining arm out at Bone-lasher and shot a stream of sticky webbing from the silk organ on his wrist. Bone-lasher dodged this effortlessly, then pounced on the primordial, bringing an armored claw down to swipe at its remaining arm.
The primordial managed to dodged this attack bur only just barely by jumping back. The tip of the claw just raked the primordial's arms, nicking it. It tried to slash as Bone-lasher's head, but the black rock armor around his head blocked the attack. The primordial's claws racked along it, not even nicking the durable rock.
"Heh, please…" Bone-Lasher said, sounding more annoyed than angry now. He shoulder checked the primordial, knocking it off balance, then raised a paw up high and slammed it down on the primordial's remaining arm, breaking it.
The primordial let out an exasperated scream then tried to bite into Bone-lasher's leg to get him to get off his leg. His long saber canines didn't find any purchase with Bone-lasher's skin. However, they came in contact with his rock armor. No matter how hard the primordial bit or kicked at Bone-lasher, he didn't let of its paws. He didn't need to. None of the primordial's attacks were hurting it.
The primordial finally kicked at Bone-lasher's underbelly and managed to cut a deep gash the length of Bone-lasher's belly. Bone-lasher stepped off of the primordial then and slapped it across the maw with a powerful swipe that sent it flying across the ground and into a storage shelf nearby.
I started to ask if Bone-lasher was okay but even as I opened my mouth to speak the wound the primordial dealt was healing. In a matter of seconds the deep gash was gone, not even a scar was left in its place.
Bone-lasher stalked the primordial again, this time pacing in a semi-circle back and forth. Letting it heal it's broken arm. Once it's arm was healed Bone-lasher didn't attack it right away. It stayed still and watched as the flesh around the primordial's severed shoulder began to bulge and expand. It took a few minutes but the primordial's arm grew back like mine had.
I had expected the primordial to look cocky and sure of itself now that it was back at full strength but it looked tense and angry. That was to be expected since Bone-lasher just knocked it all over the warehouse however.
"I will kill you!" The primordial growled then stood to a low crouch. He punched at Bone-lasher trying to swipe him but his attack was slower than the earlier ones. Bone-lasher spun around and slapped him with his tail and sent him flying back into the shelf.
"Boss I want to try something…can you get somewhere further away?" Bone-lasher asked turning his head towards me.
"Sure…" I said. I channeled float attribute mana throughout my body and jumped, floating up to the support beams for the ceiling. I stopped channeling mana and landed on top of one and watched from above.
Bone-lasher raised his head to the sky and roared loudly, the black rock armor on his body glowed a deep purple as I sensed mana flowing through him.
'Volt attribute?' I thought then cocked my head to the side.
The primordial jumped to his feet and dashed to the right, jumping off a shelf up to a nearby support beam and using that to propel himself at Bone-lasher.
In a electric flash Bone-lasher was gone, a streak of lightning bounced around the storage area of the lab before slamming into the primordial in mid-air. There was a deafening thunderclap and a electric explosion on impact that sent the primordial rocketing through storage shelves in a ball of lightning that exploded a second time as he crashed into the wall of the lab. Bone-lasher skidded to a stop in front of the splicing circle and growled proudly.
'No that was volt and shock attribute mana.' I thought. 'He can channel two attributes like Alpa'nagia!'
I channeled volt attribute mana and rushed along the support beams over to where the primordial landed.
It was lying on the ground in front of the wall to the lab. Surprisingly the wall didn't receive any damage other than scorch marks where the electricity had dissipated. The primordial's entire body was covered in electrical burns and it jerked and sputtered from the residual electricity inside its body. It's healing was much slower now, it took almost a minute for the first degree burns to heal, the second degree however were not healing.
"C-can't m-m-moo-o-o-ve." The primordial stuttered.
I jumped down from the beam and landed a few feet in front of the primordial. Bone-lasher appeared at my side in a flash and growled viciously at the primordial.
"Eyes down!" Bone-Lasher growled then reached out and slammed the primordial's head into the ground with a massive paw.
"Scum like you don't deserve to look at the Boss's feet! Let alone his face!"
"I-I-I'll k-k-kill you!" The primordial hissed while trying its hardest to look up at me. Bone-lasher's paw kept him in place though.
I sighed then reached down and placed my hand on the primordial's back. I channeled mana into its body which the mana crystal behind his heart soaked up greedily. Now that I had a hand on it I could feel it's emotions. Rage, disgust, contempt.
"Normally I would be against this type of bullying but you attacked me and Bo, you injured my evo, and cut off my arm all while looking pleased with yourself…" I said. As I mentioned cutting off my arm and hurting Bone-lasher I felt a wave of pleasure and glee come from the primordial.
'It enjoyed attacking us and injuring us!' I realized. I drew back all the mana that I had poured into the primordial leaving nothing. The evo's wounds were only half healed at this point. I popped my claws and channeled burn and corrode attribute mana thought them and they ignited in a sickly green fire. I ignored the painful twinge I felt behind my heart when I channeled both attributes and held the claws at the ready.
"…too pleased in fact. I'm not letting a monster join my ranks or loose on the world." I said.
"You filthy creator!" The primordial hissed and tried to force himself free. Bone-lasher slammed his other paw down on the primordial's back and dug his stone claws in severing its spine. As he roared out in agony I stabbed him through the heart and mana crystal with one fluid strike.
The primordial tensed for a second then its body went limp as it let out its last breath. I pulled my claws feet from my body and took a few steps back.
"Good riddance." Bone-lasher huffed.
Splicer Fact: While almost all spells use runes from multiple attributes in order to cast, there is not a single spell that is more than one element. A simple spells like fire bolt, has runes from fire element and earth element, what determines the element of the spell is usually the first runes or how many runes from one element a spell has.
