Bab 366: Uncle Damien

My foot tapped against the wooden floor as I looked at my watch with a frown. It had been an hour with no response. I pulled my phone out of the inner pocket of my blazer and pressed it to my ear. Straight to voicemail. "Predictable," I hissed, then shoved the phone back into my pocket. 

I had already asked for three refills of coffee and if I had any more my body would go into a caffeine overdrive. The taste of it was still bitter on my tongue but so delicious that I raised my hand to call over my waiter then asked him for one last cup. Maybe he would arrive after this one.
