An hour later after the tour, Anxi turned her grateful gaze to Damian.
"Thank you so much for the tour and taking your time to explain it all to me, I really appreciate it."
Damian skimmed his fingers through his hair, shrugging in a way that meant; 'what are friends for' "Nah, it's not a problem, just don't get on your boss's bad side, if possible charm him instead." He winked but Anxi only took his words for a joke and didn't utter anything else regarding that statement.
"To be honest, I actually took you as a scam on the first day you approached me, I wasn't specifically in a good mood and it's my luck I didn't turn down the offer."
"You don't need to feel alarmed when I'm around, it's no problem and I understand."
"Anxi"
She instantly turned to the familiar feminine voice which called out to her, Xandria walked up to her with an apprehensive look on her pretty face.
She was dressed in a milky short sleeve shirt tucked under a black tight-jeans skirt, featuring her sexy curves, equally showing off her fair thighs and long legs, looking breathtaking despite having a worried look on her face.
It made Anxi wonder why she didn't go for modeling instead.
"Anxi, I hope you're feeling okay, I'm so sorry I made you drink yesterday, I had no idea how intolerable it was for you."
Anxi smiled in response, noticing the genuine concern written all over her face.
"No, it's not a problem, you actually made my day yesterday and it's been a while I had fun like that, I really wouldn't mind going out with you again!"
Xandria finally relaxed, feeling satisfied with her friendly response, only then did her gaze fixate to the charming being standing beside her.
"Damian."
"Pretty lady."
She turned her attention back to Anxi after the short greeting. "I was hoping after work if you'd like to join me at my place, let's watch a movie together and no drinks this time."
Anxi immediately nodded in response, she missed out on all of this youthful moments during her previous life and wasn't going to make the same mistake ever again, especially from someone as carefree as Xandria.
"I'd love to!"
"Yay, see yah after work." She walked out, leaving Damian to stare at her, almost taken away by her charms. Xander and his family were really blessed with beauty but why is she here?
"Shall we go or is there still something you don't understand?" He finally asked.
Anxi shook her head in response. "We can go."

Damian showed up at Xander's office later on and the young man was working on his laptop, he relaxed on one of the chairs with his hands behind the back of his head.
"Before you kill me, I just want to say she's very polite and respectful lady, cute and interesting, who knows she might be able to help reduce your bloodlust."
"As much as I want to kill you right now, I don't think I can."
Damian chuckled lightly in response while leaning against the chair.
"You'll miss me, so don't even try it."
He scoffed indirectly and averted his gaze from the laptop, turning his full attention to Damian.
"We'll get to that discussion later, but first, have there been any reports on that glass I gave you, any news from the researchers?"
Damian's expression changed at the mention of the glass, showing they were out of the bantering and into a more serious conversation.
"Yeah." He nodded, "The report came in yesterday which is why I'm here."
"What did it say?"
Damian reached for his pocket, bringing out a white envelope and handing it over to Xander.
"Here."
Xander took hold of it, opening the reports to read out the information vividly written on it.
"You were right, the drink was indeed laced with poison, a strange and super rare type of poison which seems hard for even the doctors to detect, just a sip of the drink is enough to make a human lose their lives instantly."
Xander's gaze darkened at the news, losing their lives instantly? Is it that fast?
"And have you found out who laced the drink?"
Damian nodded in response. "Kidnapped the culprit last night, right now that person is under my custody and I already told my packs not to touch her without your permission."
Xander's brows arched up. "Her?"
"Yes, the person who laced the drink was a lady who worked for the hotel."
Xander's lips twitched at the revelation, what nerve! Most especially for a lady to even mess with him, he was interested in meeting this person.
"Don't tell me you're going to kill her."
Damian spoke up after noticing the deadly gaze of Xander but the heartless being smirked devilishly.
"Who said anything about killing?"
"Gosh that's even more scary." Damian muttered under his breath cause to him, killing someone is the easiest way to avoid Xander's wrath, a sudden realization struck him as he thought deep about the matter.
"But something seems off here." He met Xander's gaze. "The glass was found completely empty in your hotel room, you didn't drink it and Anxi equally seems fine cause she would have been dead if she drank it…."
Xander understood his point and felt the same strange feeling, to be honest he thought about it as well but couldn't make a sense of it.
"If I didn't take it and neither did Anxi, then who did?"
"There was no report of someone losing their life that night either."
The situation was now complicating as both friends stared at each other looking clueless. The door to Xander's office opened and Xandria majestically walked in.
"Morning boys." She took the empty seat beside Damian and met her brothers gaze,
Xander let out an exasperated sigh at her sudden presence, his sister never shows up in front of him feeling this carefree, something's definitely wrong somewhere.
"What is it?"
"Devil King called." She smirked with a hint of mischief displaying in her hazel eyes as she met Xander's disapproving gaze, like he already knew exactly where her next words were heading to.
"No no, he can't come."
"Why not? He misses me mostly and I want him around."
"Did you make a complaint that I was bullying you again?"
"Well I didn't lie, you are." She accused stubbornly. "And also your life is equally in danger, I heard you two discussing poison, we need him around."
Xander really felt like tossing this sister of his through the window, after his parents death, he and his sister had to live with their uncle which they often called 'devil king' for certain reasons.
He took care of them both but Xandria was the only one who happily got along with him but his case was obviously different.
He never got along with Devil King and there wasn't a day that passes without the two of them throwing insults at each other, to an extent they both started blackmailing each other and ruining each other's lives temporarily.
Yes, it's that bad.
Damian chuckled watching the two siblings exchange glares, at least he wasn't the only one who went against Xander atimes.
"Are you free tonight by the way?" He asked while Xandria cluelessly met his gaze.
"No, why?"
"I've got a female in custody, can you handle her?" Xander requested but his sister shook her head in response.
"No sorry, I invited Anxi over for movie night and my favorite stars are acting so I'm not chanced for tonight."
Xander met her gaze at the mention of Anxi.
"You mean my secretary?"
Xandria nodded her head in response, smiling genuinely. "Yes, she's fun to talk to and Devil King says I need to lay low for a while and make friends."
"Don't make her drink whatever you gave to her last night."
"I've heard you geez, it was a mistake and I appreciate you for dropping her home safely."
She finally got to her feet. "I'll leave you two for now, I have to get back to work."
She smiled at them before exiting the office.
Xander on the other hand could only think about what his sister just said to him, she invited Anxi over huh?
