"What the fuck?" The leader muttered as he stared at me before he stared at the gun. I wanted to test myself against a real gun, but a dart gun was good too… "It should have knocked out an adult in seconds" The leader added warily. Well, that's quite helpful. Now, I knew that my regeneration was strong enough to nullify darts, which were designed to knock out adults.
"Boss… Something is happening to him" One of the goons nervously muttered while pointing at me as scales continued to grow all over my body and now I was almost as tall as them.
The leader glared at me before scoffing. "Whatever you are doing, stop it. There is no way you are going to win, so why don't you save us some time and trouble?" The leader suggested as he decided to put away his gun. For a moment I thought that he was simply being arrogant, but I realized that no, he wasn't being arrogant.
He was simply that confident…
I was screwed if his Quirk was something like the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A, or his Quirk was something like that kid from Class 1-B. That was why I decided not to say anything… That kid could brainwash people if they answered his question, his power could work in the same way. The man stared at me before he sighed…
"Kids these days…" He shook his head while taking off his jacket. Then he handed it over to one of his goons. "It won't take long, go wait for me at the side" The leader ordered and the goons scattered. Now, I was starting to feel somewhat wary as I started to wonder what kind of power he possessed… Maybe, I should have attacked him already.
A mistake I was not going to repeat in the future…
I lunged at the man with my fist pulled back and the leader's body started to turn into metal… Both of our fists met in the air, and much to my surprise, he didn't budge from his place… Now, I was as tall as him so I was sure that I was pretty powerful, but if this was the full power of his Quirk, then I was unnecessarily worried.
However, before I could make my next move, a fist slammed against my jaw and I felt my jaw crack under my scales… That was strong. I shook my head as I felt my jaw healing, thanks to my regeneration. "That was a nice punch" I praised with a smirk on my face and the man simply deadpanned at me.
"You are going to be a lot more trouble than I thought" The man sighed tiredly, but I was shocked to see he was still confident in his abilities. Is there more to his Quirk? I wondered before I simply shrugged and threw a fist at him. Even if there was something more to his Quirk, it no longer mattered since I had no plans to surrender.
"I will take that as a compliment" I gave him a snarky reply before throwing my own punch at him. I punched him in the face, making him stagger before throwing another haymaker at his face. I hit him in the jaw and this time, he was forced to take a few steps back. I rushed at him and tried to hit him again, but this time, he raised his arm to block my punch.
He threw his fist at me and hit me in the chest, but this time, I didn't even stagger… Yes, I felt the punch, but his punch no longer hurt like before. "Is it just me or you are growing taller?" The man asked with a frown.
I simply smirked at him, giving him a toothy grin before kneeing him in the ribs. Now, I was easily towering over him and even though I could have focused my power into a smaller form, maintaining the smaller form was physically and mentally tiring and I was sure that the night was still far from over. Additionally, I wanted to make a statement…
Thanks to Ito, Satou, and Jun, I have managed to learn quite a bit about this city. The city was ruled by gangs and there was a reason why people were afraid of Lung in Brockton Bay. First of all, Lung was strong as fuck and he made a statement by beating the whole Protectorate branch of Brockton Bay just after his arrival.
After proving what he could do, everyone was afraid of engaging with him because of his power and the collateral damage that was going to ensue the fight…
Yes, I was taking a huge risk since nails that stick out get hammered… The gang leaders might have Heroes on their payroll and they might call them in to get rid of little old me, or I might bring down Heroes on top of my head on my own, or there was a chance that I would be revealing my existence to Rikiya and by extension, the MLA. To be honest, my plan was to lay low for the time being and keep growing, but now that I knew more about Jaku City, I knew I needed to make a statement if I wanted to survive in this city…

If that was the extent of his powers, then I don't think he was going to be a threat to me. However, now I needed to find one of his goons to collect some information.
It didn't take me long to locate one of his goons. The goon noticed my stare and pulled out a gun while trembling like a dried leaf. "Stay back… I will shoot you. I swear I will shoot you!" The man threatened me, but I decided to ignore his warnings. I hope this time it was a real gun… He finally pulled the trigger and the bullet bounced off my scales.
He continued to shoot at me, but the bullets simply bounced off and he was so scared that he didn't stop pulling the trigger even after there were no more bullets in his guns. "Now, you can do this the hard way or the easy way… Tell me, who do you work for" I asked as gently as I could, but my voice came out as a rumble, scaring him even more.
However, before he could answer, something bounced off the top of my head. I turned around to find the metal man glaring at me before he jumped out of the building I threw him into…
