Atasha's breathing hitched as she saw her husband's tired exterior turning frosty and vividly indifferent. Her heart ached like it was being gnawed and shredded into pieces but she couldn't regret doing what she did even for his sake. After all, another person's life would have been lost, is what she thought.

She trusts that he would understand but perhaps she was overestimating a wounded man's heart. Atasha forcefully swallowed her bitter pill before retracting the water blade off her fingers.

The girl bit her lower lip and relished the metallic aftertaste in her mouth before getting rid of her hesitation to talk. "It wasn't… N-Nemus' fault. It was me-mine alone… I was an idiot for making you worry, h-husband. I'm sorry, please… forgive me…" Atasha muttered weakly with her hoarse voice, owning up to her mistake.
