Feeling both a little helpless and cherished, the girl smiled weakly and kissed him softly. "I love you too, husband. Truly… a lot," her dewy brown eyes looked at him with a kind of spark along with so many unspoken emotions. 

Regardless, the man understood without a need for more words to utter. Zethus' eyes shone and looked at her like an answered prayer.

He nodded. "Hmm. I know, my love. That much I can tell," he answered genuinely and kissed her deeper.

After sharing a slow sweet kiss, Atasha couldn't help but gaze at him. Her eyes lingered on his face and realized how visibly frail he was.

He was naturally pale to begin with because of his cold element but his sick-looking face speaks volumes on how exhausted he is and lacking sleep. 

The month has been tough for everyone, especially for him. She couldn't help but feel heartbroken.
