As the fake hand fell to the ground, he cast a streak of white light at it, turning the supple, little hand into a pink, elongated arm of a squid. Needless to say, the one who engaged with him was not Gu Xijiu. It was actually a squid monster that was eloquent and had the ability to change appearances. Gu Xijiu and Di Fuyi were long gone. Even Guardian Jin and Guardian Hua had escaped, too.

Yun Yanli was fooled. Annoyed, he was certainly unhappy about the escape. He thought he already had her in his grasps. But right now, he realized how foolish he had been to believe so. 

Gu Xijiu could easily escape with her teleportation skill, but he could not figure out how the squid monster managed to run away. All of his men were there, but none of them witnessed anything.
