As the clock struck 12, Esme opened her eyes. 

She glanced at the ceiling as she panted softly. She slowly raised her hand, running her fingers through her neck. She could feel the sweat on her body. 

She had a dream. But for the first time in her life, she did not have nightmares nor did she see the sea in her dreams. 

She dreamt of... Aleister kissing her. Not once, not twice, again and again. 

Her body was hot. 

Esme removed the sheets from her body and sat up on the bed, feeling the rapid beating of her heart.

She tilted her head to the side and glanced at the bed next to her which was separated by a curtain. 

Esme could see the man's silhouette under the pale glow of moonlight. 

When did he come back? 

She pushed herself to her feet and removed the curtains before walking towards his bed.
