Chinese version of scarface movie. so Chinese guy wakes up on smugglers boat to Capitalist western federation. I am confused because first few chapters talks about the President and his immigration policies, then talks about the federation emperor and the royal family, so he combines USA and UK? Anyways, it's like scarface, as a undocumented immigrant he gets a low paying job (like how scarface starts with them working in that restaurant), anyways mc joins a gang and raises to the top, and starts out as a goon in the protection racket, pay up or we bust up your shop. warning anticapitalist, mc combined Los Angeles and Chicago, and talks about the corrupt racist police, the daily shootings etc.
I thought I dropped a review, but I guess I never hit post or it never posted. So here I go again. I'm dropping a shameless favorable review here because I quite enjoyed the story. I found many aspects of the story reflective of the real world not on a personal level, but from what I've heard, read or seen throughout my life. I find Lance to be quite charismatic, reflecting a level of intelligence and common sense that doesn't reflect an individual from the countryside. He gives off transmigrator vibes, but isn't. Sadly, this story suffers from WebNovel's famous mishaps, so beware (though writing quality is better than others)! Turn off your brains and go test the waters out. My review is just a review and nothing more!
