The news that a group of rookie students had been assigned an elimination mission spread even as reports of an anomaly near the city walls circulated throughout the town.

An event of this magnitude was bound to shake the foundations of the city, especially considering the members of the student group who, in all likelihood, were already dead due to the nightly dangers and the very anomaly that roamed the outskirts of the city.

In the central district of the city, specifically at the city hall, Mayor Mo Zheng of City of Repose stood in the central courtyard facing a force of 30 men. This was the team that was about to be dispatched to locate the lost students. However, knowing the resources at the city hall's disposal, anyone could see that it was merely a show to calm the tensions among the Strider Clan, Armanci Clan, and the Han Family. It was also an attempt to prevent the destructive wrath of Rymann Bandolen himself.
