Bab 129: A blade without purpose

After a round of explanations about why the situation wasn't what Shen had initially thought, the girls found themselves having to reveal the points they had wanted to omit. Gradually, the puzzle started making sense in Shen's thought process.

"Kz, my friend," Shen said, nodding sincerely, "I must say, you continue to surprise me in every aspect. I'm genuinely impressed." There was even a hint of admiration in Shen's expression as he looked at Kizaer—an admiration for Kizaer's courage in speaking openly.

Kizaer chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his neck. "Thank you, I guess."

Then he turned to Joane and said, "Joane, I apologize again for the confusion. What I meant to say is this: if there's something beyond 'War Companions,' perhaps something like 'War Brothers' or 'Arms Brothers,' we'll all be there to support you."
