Bab 43: The search(4)

 The crescent moon cast its silvery glow over the landscape, illuminating the path ahead. The group set off to the next destination, Sacred Roots, the hidden elven kingdom known for its lush forests and unparalleled archers.

The road was cloaked in mystery, each mile stretching towards an uncertain future, the forest kept getting denser and denser.

In the carriage, Nila sat beside Cyrus, her gaze focused on the flickering lantern that swung gently above them. The light cast soft shadows across her face, highlighting the tension that simmered beneath her calm exterior. Cyrus noticed the tightness in her posture, the way her fingers tapped restlessly against her thigh. He turned to her, his eyes searching hers.

"You've been quiet since we left Navaria," Cyrus said, breaking the silence. ''It was your hometown. You didn't return to the palace, and you didn't want to stay there much. Are you fine?"
