The ground was stained with a profusion of blood, and cries of despair echoed incessantly. It was then that Ruri, clenching her fists, spoke calmly.

"Master, I understood everything you told me. However... I want to stop them." Her words started hesitantly but, looking at Alm, gained a firmer tone.

"Stop them? What do you really expect? Do you believe that these cultivators will be driven away and be afraid to attack again?" Alm interjected sharply.

"Suppose you have the skill to kill them, but you don't. When they attack again, the karma generated will be equally distributed to you. There's no room for mercy in the cultivation world. Absolutely no showing leniency when drawing your blade. Don't try to act with some kind of noble character, humanity, forgiveness, or hope to reform them."
