Izumi, without missing a single beat, followed him and put a hand on his opponent and uttered a single word that shocked everyone present,
"Divide."
Vali's eyes bugged out in shock when he felt his strength leave his body.
"H-How?!" he shouted in shock.
"How! How are you using my ability?!" also shouted Albion as he felt Vali's strength halve.
[Divide]
"That' for me to know and you to find put don't you think?" Izumi replied cheekily.
[Divide]
Vali could feel his demonic power decreasing at an incredible rate.
"Vali, you have to beat him! No one steals from me, especially my ability!" Albion raged seeing a random person, a human to boot, use the ability that he had cultivated for centuries.
On the side,
"I didn't hear wrong did I nya? Did Enigma really say Divide?" asked Kuroka completely shocked.
"Nope, he really is using Divine Dividing's ability," replied Arthur.
"How?! " shouted Bikou as he threw his arms in the air, "How is that possible?! Does he have a Sacred Gear that can copy others?"
"I don't think so and if he had, it would have already become famous, but we have not heard or seen a single record of a Sacred Gear like that" replied an equally shocked Le Fay.
A few moments earlier, Izumi had shot a large (Mana Bullet) towards Vali and the latter had effortlessly dissipated the attack using his Sacred Gear's signature ability. When he saw that he suddenly had an idea. Izumi's Reality Marble enabled him to copy any magic he set his eyes upon, but he can only copy once he uses (Structural Analysis) on said magic. Also, magic without any clear magic circles or visible effects was harder to copy. Therefore he had to make Vali use his ability once more and apply (Structural Analysis) directly on him while the latter used the ability. To make him use it, he decided to unleash a very big attack on him and, not just any attack, one that he would absolutely use (Divide). Therefore, he chose a fire attack. From his series, Vali would boast that he was the White Dragon Emperor multiple times throughout the anime. And since Dragons were known for their fire ability, he would get overconfident and use Divine Dividing on it.
Once his attack was ready he launched it towards Vali who then went to block it as he expected. Behind the attack, he then turned invisible. Since the group couldn't see him due to the intense light of the fireball, it was easy to turn invisible without them noticing. He the. went to the side and launched (Structural Analysis) directly on Vali who was using (Divide). Information about Vali entered his mind. He ignored most of it and went directly to the information that was transmitted on how he used (Divide). Vali used his Demonic Power to connect with his Sacred Gear which in turn connected with Albion as the ability belonged to him. The Sacred Gear responded by hijacking Albion's (Divide) enabling Vali to use said ability. The mana that was absorbed would then be siphoned to himself and the excess would be expelled through his dragon wings. Izumi saw the information on how (Divide) was used and was a little surprised. The spell (Divide) maybe a spell on a conceptual level. It is a spell that may have the concept of Dividing and absorb just like the saying"Divide and conquer". Albion developed his spell to "divide" Draig's strength as a counter to his "boost" for whenever they encountered each other.
'(Boost) may also be a conceptual spell, but I'm not sure. I won't know until I meet Issei Hyoudou,' he thought as his mind was under the effect of (Thought Acceleration).
Once he understood how (Divide) worked he reconfigured it to work with his mana instead of Demonic Power. All that took less than a second for Izumi to interpret and modify the spell for his use. All the while, Vali struggled with the fireball without knowing that the spell was bait for him. Of course, Izumi would be glad if it damaged his opponent, but it was not its main purpose. Once he was ready, he reappeared behind the fireball and cancelled the spell. Not expecting it, Vali couldn't do anything as Izumi launched a devastating punch with the added effect of (Mana Burst). He shot towards the ground with Izumi following him as the latter had a massive grin since he was glad his plan worked. After a massive explosion with the creation of a huge crater, Izumi approached Vali and said victorious,
"Divide"
Soon, He felt Vali's strength diminish and. go into him. Izumi was glad that the spell modified whatever it absorbed was converted into life-force for him. Unfortunately, he couldn't use too much since it didn't come with an exhaust system as that was the Sacred Gear's function. He felt his mana replenish and stopped unless he wanted to explode.
He felt his strength return and his mana at full capacity after using (Divide) 3 times on Vali. He then projected a random sword before pointing it at Vali's neck.
"Do you submit?" asked Izumi.
Vali wanted to deny it and Albion was raging inside him to tear Enigma apart, but he could already feel that he had lost when Izumi used his spell against him. He now felt weak from the spell. And even if he used (Divide) against Enigma, there is no guarantee that the latter would use it again which would bring them into a stalemate. Vali sighed and dismissed his armour leaving him in battered clothes as his body was riddled with bruises. Fortunately, there were no severe injuries since it was just a spar.
"I surrender," he said after a huge sigh. Izumi then released his hold and dismissed his sword before stepping away.
Vali's team on the side eventually came to them and Le Fay started to cast a healing spell from White Magic. Seeing that, Izumi immediately cast (Structural Analysis) on it. It is a mid-tier healing spell from the White Magic category and it was meant to heal physical injuries from broken bones to simple bruises. It cannot be used to heal sickness as it doesn't fall into the categories of injuries. It also cannot be used to regenerate limbs as that falls into the category of regeneration and not healing. Up until now, there is no spell to regenerate a limb, only reattach a limb or organ. Izumi was satisfied. He got two new spells and he experienced fighting against someone who was used to fighting.
"Holy Shit!" cursed Bikou seeing Vali's state.
"Language Bikou!" rebuked Arthur.
"But, have you seen him?! He beat Vali! And let's not talk about the bullshit move he pulled in the end. How the hell did he use (Divide) when he doesn't have Vali's Sacred Gear! The last time I checked, there wasn't a second Divine Dividing?" shouted Bikou as he pointed towards Izumi.
Of course, since Izumi still had his armour, they couldn't see the injuries on his body.
"That's right nya. How did you do that?" Kuroda asked Enigma.
Izumi turned towards and had a cheeky smirk behind his mask before replying,
"I said it to Vali before, that's for me to know and you to find out don't you think," he replied.
Bikou turned towards Arthur,
"I want to punch him in the face. I know that behind that mask is a smug face that I want to punch," he said.
"That's enough Bikou," said Vali as he got up from the ground.
"Are you okay Vali-sama?" asked Le Fay after healing him.
"I'm fine Le Fay. Thanks for healing me," he replied.
The girl smiled and turned towards Izumi.
"Do you need healing Enigma-sama?"
"Nah, I'm good" Izumi replied. He wanted to try out the healing spell at home, therefore, refused Le Fay's offer.
Izumi then turned towards Vali.
"It was my lost, therefore I won't tell anyone about you," Vali said.
"That's good. Now, why did you come to this town?" asked Izumi.
"My orders were to find the Fallen Angel in town and to recruit them in the Grigori."
"And by Grigori, you mean..." Izumi didn't need to finish his question.
"It an organization run by Fallen Angels. They also help other races and humans with Sacred Gears."
"And you are part of the Grigori?"
Vali nodded, " Yes, but I have my own team. The mission is now void since there was never a Fallen Angel. Therefore, I will change my offer. Would you like to join my team?" Vali finally asked.
Izumi pondered on the question before opening his mouth.
"How about this. Instead of joining your team. Let's make an alliance."
"An alliance?"
"Yeah, you may call me whenever you need my help and the same goes for me." counter offered Izumi.
"I see. It's better than nothing. Very well then. Alliance then Enigma." Vali said before offering a hand.
"Alright Vali!" replied Izumi before taking Vali's hand and shaking it.
"But, do remember that I will beat you next time and that is at you're strongest," said Vali as he showed his devilish grin.
"He was holding back?!" shouted Arthur, Le Fay and Bikou.
Kuroka stayed silent
"Oh? How did you know?" asked Izumi a little amused.
"Call it a Devil's instinct."
"I see. Well, the next time we fight, you're going to have to come up with more tricks up your sleeves."
At that moment, Divine Dividing appeared on Vali's back. Albion then began to speak.
"I don't like you. I don't like the fact that you stole my ability. But I must commend you for beating my host." he grumbled.
"Thank you, Albion," replied Izumi. He turned towards the group.
"Well then, can you guys drop me off at where you picked me up?"
"Sure," Vali said before raising his hand in front.
Not a second later, a huge blue magic circle appeared in front of him.
"Let's go." the Devil said before entering the magic circle.
Izumi copied the magic circle into his Reality Marble and entered the circle with the rest of the group behind him. His perception changed and he now found himself in front of the abandoned building that the Halphas devil peerage used before. Once everyone appeared in front of the portal, Vali dismissed it.
"Then this is where we'll part," said Vali.
"Wait. How are we supposed to communicate with each other? I didn't learn any communication spell yet. Besides, I don't want to have a magic call when I'm in the middle of class or something." replied Izumi.
"You're in high school?" asked Vali as he rose an eyebrow.
"That's all you're getting from me right now." Izumi shrugged.
Vali sighed,
"Do you have a phone?"
"Yeah."
"Then here's my number," Vali said before giving him a slip of paper with a number.
"Thanks. And before we go, for our newly made alliance, let me give you a piece of information," said Izumi after he pocketed the slip.
"Oh? What is it?" asked Vali curious about what Enigma would give him.
"The Red Dragon Emperor will awaken very soon," Izumi said.
"Really, where will my rival be?" Vali asked giving him a huge grin, but Izumi shook his finger,
"Ah, ah, ah. That's for you to find out, I'm only going to give you this much," said Izumi
Bikou burst into laughter,
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! You don't know how long he looked for his rival. I bet he's overjoyed to what kind of bastard the Red Dragon Emperor is!"
Izumi internally minced hearing Bikou's statement,
'Then prepare to be disappointed,'
A week before this fight, Izumi succeeded in making enough drones to send to Kuoh Town. The first thing he did was check on Kuoh Academy. He then noticed the two Devil peerages of the sisters of the current Satans: Rias Gremory's peerage and Sona Sitri's peerage. Seeing the devil heiress in the third year, he concluded that it was canon year of Highschool Dxd.
He then went to check on Issei Hyoudou to see if the cannon had already started or not. Izumi's eyebrow twitched when he saw Issei and his friend, Matsuda and Motohama behind the gym locker room peeking at the girls of the Kendo girls changing clothes. Seeing that there was no Demonic Power in Issei, he concluded that the canon hadn't started yet.
Finally, he went to check on the abandoned church of the city and saw the presence of Holy energy, but this was different. The Holy power present was a little corrupted which gave Izumi theorized belonged to Fallen Angel. It helped that three Fallen Angels were present with their wings in plain view. Izumi couldn't remember their names as they were small-time villains used as plot devices to awaken Issei's Boosted Gear.
Back to the present, Vali pondered on the information before looking at Izumi.
"Thank you Enigma, you have given me valuable information."
"My pleasure." Izumi looked at the time before saying,
"I believe it's time for me to go. Until next time." Izumi said before taking flight and heading home.
Not before turning invisible, he didn't want them to follow him home. The group watched them fly away before seeing Enigma disappearing.
"What an interesting human. What do you think?" Vali asked his group.
"He wasn't really trying," replied Kuroka.
"I know."
"No, I mean, he didn't even use half of his skills nya," she added.
"What do you mean?" asked Arthur.
"When he was Vali nya was fighting him, he used his ki to convert it into mana and used it to activate his spells and he didn't even use half of his ki."
"So that's why!" exclaimed Le Fay.
"Hm?" asked Vali.
"I couldn't sense a mana container in his body so I didn't know where his mana came from," explained Le Fay.
"But to beat Vali is already an incredible feat and he didn't even use half of his strength. That human is a monster," said Arthur.
Vali nodded before creating another teleportation gate.
"Let's go back to report."
"But what are we going to report Vali?" asked Bikou.
"We'll just tell them the truth."
"What do you mean nya?"
"The Fallen is not here. Did you see any Fallen?"
The group caught on quickly,
"Nope nya!"
"I didn't see anything either," replied Arthur.
"Me neither!" said Le Fay with a beaming smile.
"He must've moved or something," added Bikou.
Vali nodded,
"Good," he said before entering the magic circle with his team behind.
From a distance, Izumi observed the magic circle disappear and let out a sigh,
"What a tiring day," he said out loud before continuing to fly home.
