Bab 210: Chapter 66: The Red Dragon [2]

Without waiting for any signal, Zell dashed forward, swinging his sword down with a vertical slash, aiming for the female's chest and undermining her ability to block or dodge as he swung in an arc over him again. Garnet was quick, though and managed to dodge it away by using both hands on one side while blocking another attack aimed at her head with the other hand. 

Her thick red scales were far more dense and durable than Zell's black scales as his sword merely bounced and slid along them with brilliant sparks shimmering; Garnet spun in a tight circle before smashing into his abdomen with a powerful side kick, the hard scales on her dragon-like feet causing his black dragon scales to almost shatter and snap instantly despite holding back.
