Bab 280: Chapter 32: Meeting Chris, Night Of The Lynx

Zell arrived at the eastern village to find that it was quite peaceful here, but the signs of battle did linger from the north and east.

It seemed that orcs and other monsters were also trying to build their territory during this time, and the wooden walls showed countless elves holding beautifully crafted bows with feathers and twisted wood to form lovely shapes at the entrance and along the walls.

'It seems they are quite serious now; all are wearing their combat armour just to guard, and they had half drawn their bows the moment I entered their range.'

'They do not trust a newcomer, as expected of their kind.'

Zell couldn't help but approve, though inwardly he felt a little disappointed as they only existed thanks to his help. However,  that was when two people rushed out to greet him; of course, it was Chris, his best friend, and Esmera, his wife, in her fancy elven gown.
