Bab 133: Chapter 132: Na'er wants to hang out
Shrek Amusement Park, the only one amusement in the entire Shrek City that houses more than ten million citizens and soul masters. It's here that every known attraction available for every amusement parks; from Ferris Wheels, Roller Coasters, Haunted Houses, etc. is available for almost everyone, some are only available for those at certain age or height, to go and have fun.
However, unlike other amusement parks, this one is known to be the best among the rest for their top of the line, technologically advanced and safe, attractions. With their theme being centered around the greatest known legends of Shrek City: Shrek Academy, Shrek Seven Monsters, Tang San and Huo Yuhao.
Most say that the reason why there was so many citizens living in Shrek City was because of the amusement park than just the prestige of Shrek Academy.
The sky was clear and so the heatwave of the afternoon sun was felt for everyone that wasn't a soul master, as just its heat wasn't enough to make a soul master sweat like a pig.
That was the case as hundreds of people went in and around the amusement park, enjoying their time with the variety of attractions with their friends, family and lover.
"Big brother Ye! Hurry! I don't want to wait too long to ride the roller coaster!" Na'er excitedly said to Xiu Ye as she held his hand and dragged him towards a line of people, lining up for the only roller coaster in the amusement park known for its highest tracks; as high as 300 meters with smaller ones being at least 200 meters.
She wore casual clothes; navy blue jeans and white long sleeve t-shirt, both being Unlimited Works Industry brands, which both hid and showed off her growing curves and assets.
Her long silver hair flowed freely in the wind as it twinkles like stars in the sky, her similar colored hair gleaming like a pair pearls under the sunlight and it seem to shine brighter with her smile; she quickly attracted the gazes of many in her surroundings with her exotic features.
Despite being in her teens, Na'er had the beauty and curves of a young woman.
"Na'er, the ride ain't going anywhere so try to slow down and the line is filled with hundreds of people! Even if we arrive earlier, we would still be stuck in this line for an hour at least." Xiu Ye huffed as he and Na'er stood together in the line. He rubbed his right wrist as he turned to look at her. "Also, try not to rip off my arm again too much. I bruise easily y'know."
"Bleh!" Na'er simply responded by sticking her tongue out and said whilst giggling. "Lying is bad, big brother Ye! You, me and most of the people that know you would say differently about you bruising so easily. Especially since it's mostly us who gets bruised easily when training under you..."
She turned away to mutter out that last one with a fearful look on her face.
"Hm? What was that?"
"Nothing!"
Xiu Ye raised his eyebrows at the strange tone of her voice but he shrugged it off as nothing. Just like Na'er, he wore casual clothes consisting of a long sleeve black shirt, similar colored trousers and heavy boots.
And just like the silver haired girl by his side; his tanned skin, red and white hair and golden eyes had immediately garnered the attention of numerous people as well: especially the female gender.
Times like this that Xiu Ye praised himself for having Wu Zhangkong temporarily act as CEO of Unlimited Works Industry as a public image. No one would respect nor take the words of a twelve year old seriously after all. But for someone like the ice cold prince charming?
Talking to those infamous arrogant and presumptuous CEO women, and the men with a certain taste to those with a third leg, during meetings had never been so easy!
Now that Unlimited Works Industry is internationally known and a house brand name, much less his appearance, Xiu Ye was certain that he was going to be surrounded by a lot of either fans or the paparazzi. Which he didn't like, at all.
He would rather fight against Na Nali and Cthulhu again for ten rounds than get anywhere near those hyenas.
Some time later, both Xiu Ye and Na'er finally managed to get inside the booth of the attraction and took the two front seats of the roller coaster.
Normally, something like a roller coaster wouldn't be able to scare or excite a trained soul master. But both teens still enjoyed themselves as they ride at a fast speed; going up and down the green tracks of the roller coaster for ten whole minutes before they got out.
They didn't just stop there. Laughing and giggling to themselves, they both continued on having fun as they moved towards other attractions in the amusement park.
Night came and finally after going through the mirror house, the two decided to stop to eat.
"That was so fun!" Na'er exclaimed as she licked her cookies and cream ice cream cone.
They were sitting in metal chairs as they sat facing against each other in one iron table, that had all sorts of snacks and drinks, and chatted about the things they did and saw.
"Hahaha. Yeah, I really enjoyed going in the roller coaster. I could even see the Ancient Tree." Xiu Ye chuckled.
"Right? I especially liked the turning cups! Hahaha! Oh god! I still can't stop laughing at that one guy who vomited at what seems to be his girlfriend when they were in their cup! Hahaha!"
Her expression soon turned sad. "Though I feel so sorry for her, the big sister was crying for what her, boyfriend? Brother? Whatever he is to her, did. No girl should ever get vomited on in public."
"Ditto. Which is why he deserved that knuckle sandwich you gave him, Na'er." Xiu Ye chuckled as the silver haired girl sitting in front of him flushed and stuttered for a moment before shaking her head around.
"Of course! Although it wasn't my business to intervene, the guy had it coming when he just yelled at the girl and didn't bother apologizing." Na'er said as she nodded her head.
Xiu Ye smiled at her, sipping on his coke, and patted her head. Na'er preened at the touch of his hand on her head.
"....This is nice." He turned to look around the amusement park. Seeing all of the amazing attractions, people being happy and enjoying their time. Adults smiling. Children laughing as they run around.
It was so peaceful. So...normal.
He couldn't help but think of his friends. His family; Mang Tian, Yu Fei, Tang Le and Lang Yue being here. All of them here together with him, enjoying everything the amusement park had; laughing and smiling.
A world where everything was peaceful.
'And people like Holy Spirit Cult want to destroy this...' Xiu Ye's smile fell as he lowered his coke down on the table and clenched his hand that wasn't busy on Na'er. His golden eyes slowly dim until its colors changed into cold, hardened steel grey.
'I won't allow that. As threats of humanity, I–'
His eyes then flashed the memories of a sea of flames. Of where death and evil was present. Of where he was reborn into a boy that had his perception of reality changed, where he chased a fake dream, entering countless wars; leaving everything and everyone behind, and in the end, he became an even more broken man than when he was inside that fire.
He closed his eyes, smoldering the flames inside of him.
'No. I'm not him anymore. Although I don't know how EMIYA had managed to get away from Alaya's control and enter a different world's reincarnation cycle, I don't care. I'm no longer the 'cleaner' of humanity. The true members Holy Spirit Cult should be punished for their crimes, but those who're forced or enslaved to do evil should be given a fair trial and a second chance.'
'I've seen enough cycles of hate, destruction, death and war in EMIYA's memories. Human lives shouldn't be treated so casually. Second chances exist, I should know. If I manage to purge all of the higher ranking members of Holy Spirit Cult, I'll have to see if the other members would be saved. If not....' He didn't have to think about it. He already decided in his cold iron heart.
After all, what is the life of some compared to the many?
Xiu Ye immediately pushed his thoughts to the side. His cold emotionless eyes turned towards Na'er, it softened and turned golden once more.
"...man, this place is so fun! How about let's bring big brother Wulin here as well?" Xiu Ye smirked and nodded.
"Yeah. That guy's been training too much for several months now, he deserves some rest. An outing with just us family members."
"I agree! Ah, I remembered how shocked, relieved and happy he was when he saw me again three years ago. So much that he was crying out a river." Na'er giggled as she remembered her reunion with her big brother Wulin.
"..." Xiu Ye sweatdropped.
'Sure, Wulin was happy but he was so shocked at seeing you that he even choked on his cake like me.' He shook his head.
He'll think about all that unnecessary thoughts in a later date. Right now, he wanted to spend his day with his little sister.
Another face suddenly appeared, replacing Na'er's. The face was female with long white hair, blood red eyes and a pale complexion.
She tilted her head to the side, and smiled.
'Onii-chan! Let's play!'
Unknowingly, the smile on his face look a little strained.
And whether Na'er noticed it or not, only she knows.
