William Cole sat in the hospital corridor for several hours.
"Dudu dudu—!" Just then, William's phone rang again, and he pressed the answer button.
"Hello, Mr. Cole, it's me, Aaron Davidson." Aaron's voice came through, not expecting a call after William left his business card when he departed earlier.
"Dr. Davidson, what's the matter?" William's voice was hoarse.
He had some difficulty accepting, even doubting his own identity.
Who is the clone?
Is Kenneth Bauer the clone, or am I the clone?
If I am not myself, where should I go? Or if I am indeed Kenneth's clone, what would I think? For the first time, William began to doubt his own authenticity.
Aaron laughed, "Mr. Cole, you needn't worry too much."
"A clone is no different from an ordinary person, and since it has already happened, you should just accept it calmly."
"The reason I'm calling is that I suddenly remembered, when I was studying in Europe, I heard about some cloning project which was eventually shut down."
