Ryder suddenly started sweating under her deep gaze; he drank all the liquor left in that bottle in one gulp and sat straight.

Esmi stopped drinking; she landed a sharp gaze and all her concentration on Ryder as she waited in anticipation. Outside, she looked calm, but inside, anxiousness was erupting inside her.

Ryder, on the other hand, looked extremely calm; he wiped away the wetness on his mouth with the back of his palm and then loosened the top two buttons of his shirt and exhaled a deep breath. He looked nervous and a little bit off minded to Esmi.
