Sophie's avatar had just been watching Davis with a delightful expression, just like her true body. She had even taken her hand back to be on the safer side, but with Davis descending and creating a hole in the ceiling that rushed out with a gust of searing wind and magma a second later, the apocalyptic flames swayed more, causing her sleeves to catch fire.

Purplish-black flames bloomed, engulfing her entire hand in an instant.

However, that hand fell on the ground, burning amidst the dust.

Sophie appeared to have cut off her hand from the elbow decisively. Her expression twitched in pain, but there was no blood spurting out as this was still a soul body.

The Solitary Soul Avatar was not a fleshly body, after all. Her current flesh was basically constructed from soul force, which meant slashing or burning it would only cause it to disappear from the lack of energy.
