Bab 21: Catching Fish Part 3
"3.....2.....1...GO"
Xie Shoushan yells out very loud and after this Dai Jinhai and Xie Shoushan get ready to catch the fish with their hands!
"I have never caught fish with my hands..."
Dai Jinhai grumbles.
"I have never caught fish at all!"
Xie Shoushan says.
Dai Jinhai snarls and tries to catch a fish...but sadly for Dai Jinhai he is not fast enough, he is good at hunting and good at fighting and power...but he is not stealthy and quick.
And that is what Xie Shoushan excels in.
Or does he?
Although Xie Shoushan may try very hard to seem stealthy and cool...the fish are still just swimming out of his grasp!
Xie Shoushan puts his hands under the water and angles them under a white and red spotted fish. He raises his hands slightly so that the fish is raised out of the water....slowly...slowly...please fish don't run away!!!
But
then
the fish swims away!
The fish are never scared of Xie Shoushan, and since he is so smooth they do not believe him to be trying to catch him, but instead they just see Xie Shoushan as part of their home so swim away very casually!
And of course, Dai Jinhai is the opposite!
He is slamming his hands into the water, like his hands are a hammer! Everytime his fist is even close to a fish, the fish runs away so fast that it seems like it is a hundred feet away! Xie Shoushan and Dai Jinhai are trying to do the same thing in such opposite ways!
"This is impossible!!!!!!!!"
Surprisingly enough both Xie Shoushan and Dai Jinhai are saying the same thing! It has been over an hour of trying to catch fish and both of them don't know what to do! At this rate there will be no grilled fish to eat!
"Will you give up Dai Jinhai? You will lose the fight and I will be the winner? But you will be allowed to stop?"
Xie Shoushan asks this with a sly smirk on his face, he wants Dai Jinhai to give up because than he is the winner and he will get extra grilled fish.
"No, no, will you give up though? After all it is just a matter of time until I get a fish? I have much more experience than you in fishing?"
Dai Jinhai shakes his head, and smirks smugly, his eyes are flashing, as he thinks he has won!
But then, the truth comes and shocks them all....
THERE WILL BE NO EXTRA GRILLED FISH FOR THE WINNER BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO FISH AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Xie Shoushan and Dai Jinhai look at eachother than nod, they have made a silent agreement with eachother.
"WE WILL GET FISH IF IT'S THE LAST THING WE DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
They begin to slap the water even faster and faster and try to grap fish as fast as possible!!!!!! They are trying so so hard because they want fish...it has been days since both Xie Shoushan and Dai Jinhai have had grilled fish!!!!!
"Yes! I have caught one!!!!!!"

(the reason in which dai jinhai just simply does not get back his spear and spear fish is that he is a man of honor and will never back down from a fight)
