Bab 94: Here be Chaos Part 1.

I wouldn't have been surprised if it was discord who created the following chapters inside my head. The amount of sh*t happening at the same time is so ridiculous (at least for my standards ;P) that I'm proud of myself to be honest. XD

Their talk lasted long into the night, the two mares emotions slowly settling, as they tried to figure out a course of action after they dealt with the impostor.
A simple solution presented itself earlier that day, but they were unsure if they would be able to accomplish it...
"Do you think we can do that Moony? This is going to be very dangerous, especially without Starfall's assistance..."Asked Luna as the duo sat at the edge of Nightmare Moon's mindscape...
"Well...it was your idea to begin with and I still say we should just tell him..." Replied the larger mare.
"Ugh, I know that! It's just...I don't want to worry him unnecessarily just after he had to deal with Pinkie having a similar problem..." Luna said with frustration.
Nightmare Moon Giggled, before bursting into laughter.
"Huh? What? Why are you laughing?" Luna asked as Moon tried to calm her sudden amusement.
"Sorry *Giggle* I just realized, that we completely ceased considering the Other One a real threat during this conversation. Haha!"She laughed, and Luna realised that she was correct.
"Huh...I guess you're right! *giggle* Speaking of which, Shouldn't we get to it soon?" She asked, to which Nightmare nodded.
"Yeah let's do it. I think we should be done by the morning." Said the mare before standing up, a resolved expression on both on their faces.
It was going to be a long night...

"Dad! We're leaving!"Called out Spike from the entrance where a trio of fillies already stood, excitement clear on their faces.
"Have fun on your trip, and stay out of trouble kiddo!" Called back Starfall from the other room.
Twilight kissed Spike on his forehead and sent him away with the trio, before closing the doors and going back to join Starfall on the sofa.
"Are you sure they are going to be alright Starfall? He never went so far by himself..." Twilight asked, clearly worried about the little dragon going to Canterlot.
"Don't worry so much Love. He's a very responsible dragon and it's just a school trip, Cheerilee would make sure that they stay out of trouble..." He replied while wrapping his hoof around her shoulder.
Twilight sighed but leaned into the hug.
They stayed like this for a moment longer, before she finally broke the silence.
"Is Luna still sleeping?" She asked and Starfall nodded.
"Yeah. She must have been really exhausted after her nightly duties, as even my partially finished stamina spell only made her expression slightly relax but didn't wake her..." He replied a bit worried about his Alicorn Marefriend...
Luna being sluggish and oversleeping after the night, was not anything new with her nights usually tending to exhaust her more than the day, but this one was especially worrying with her additional recent change behaviour, and the level of exhaustion she seemed to be in.
If he wasn't currently preparing himself for an encounter with a "God of Chaos", He would most likely try to see what was wrong with her as soon as possible...
"I see...Well, I hope she gets better. You need to finish that spell. I'm sure it could be used in more than just helping Luna with her duties, if you catch my drift..." She wiggled her eyebrows playfully, leading Starfall to snort and kiss her senseless.
"I'm sure You would like that..." He said in amusement, and the duo was soon playfully bantering and tickling eachother, almost turning it into a session of lovemaking, but as Twilight found herself stuck under Starfall's strong, muscled body, something came to her mind.
"Oh right! I wanted to tell you that a message from Canterlot came. Apparently Princess Celestia is coming to visit us today!" She said causing Starfall to stop in his tracks.
'Celestia was coming? That...that wasn't in his calculations...but seeing as he already changed a few things maybe those are just the consequences...well...maybe she could be of help while fending off Discord...'
"Really?! Why didn't you say so earlier?" He asked as they slowly sat back to a proper position...
"Oh, it slipped my mind as we talked..." Said Twilight embarrassed. She never expected to forget about her beloved teacher of all Ponies...
"It's alright. Then I guess we should prepare for her visit. Though I'd have to ask you to take care of it as I have to do something that cannot wait. I really didn't expect her to visit on such a short notice..." He sighed standing up from the couch as Twilight nodded.
"It's alright, I can take care of it Dear. You do you. I know how some research needs a precise time management." She said before kissing him and leaving to take care of everything.
"Thanks Twily." Starfall replied before leaving towards the Lab.

Starfall sat beside a hospital bed in the Infirmary, with his hoof slowly caressing the pink hoof of the mare laying before him.
She was still unconscious, and as far as he could tell, she wouldn't wake up for at least a few days or more, as her Consciousness was still getting settled in the new body. That didn't stop him though from checking up on her, as she was for all intents and purposes his own creation, and while he would never consider her his daughter, as she was her own person who certainly wouldn't consider him her dad, He still cared about her, and wanted to make sure that she was fine...And there was also the part of her having the memories of his marefriend...
Starfall sighed and stood up. He should probably bring Twilight here later to explain what he did...along with everypony else... especially Pinkie... So far only Luna knew about this and keeping secrets was never a good thing in a relationship.
Starfall walked out of the Infirmary and walked down the corridor of the Lab aiming to enter the Chaos Research Section. He needed to get ready for what was to come soon...
He hoped that Luna was already up, as she really seemed exhausted in the morning. He'd have to check up on her later, but first... Research!
The sound of one of the doors opening deeper in the lab caught his attention, but assuming that it was Whooves going back to his research, he didn't pay it much thought.
The fact that the sound came from the direction of the Mirror Pond Containment Chamber, didn't cross his mind at all...

"Phew...Good thing that Starfall didn't relinquish our Level five access." Muttered Luna as she entered the chamber.
""Quiet Sis! You want Starfall to hear you?! Honestly Luna. Be glad that you stopped using your Canterlot voice or we would have been found a long time ago..."" She then whispered with a slightly deeper but still feminine tone of voice while turning her head to the side.
"Ah... Sorry..." She then replied back in her original voice."...But why are we even hiding in the first place? Shouldn't we warn him about Tia?" Luna added.
""...Ugh...I guess you're right...I think it's just because our last encounter ended with Starfall putting me into a glass ball, and I instinctually wanted to avoid giving him a reason to do it again, even if it's unlikely if we explain the situation clearly..."" Said the other voice and Luna nodded.
"It's okay. I understand your worry even if it's unnecessary. I think we can proceed without telling him about us for now. I'm sure he's going to be surprised when we're done, haha!" Luna joked getting a snort inside of her mind in return.
""I'm sure he will. alright then. Well warn him about Tia as soon as we are done. Now stop thinking about unnecessary things and let's focus on what we came here for."" The voice replied.
"Are you sure it was here though? I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't store them in the same chamber as the Pond" Luna said before pressing a switch on the wall.
The lights turned on and Luna instantly stopped in her tracks with a small yelp, as she saw what was right in front of her muzzle.
"...Or...Maybe he would..."She said, finding herself face to face with her own clone inside a crystal vat, placed conveniently in the middle of the room...
She heard a snicker in her mind and rolled her eyes.
"As if you weren't as surprised as me..." She muttered.
""Who? Me? Never!"" The other voice said in mock anger amusing Luna.
"Ok. Enough of this. Let's get to work." Luna finally said shaking her head, and levitated the vat out of the chamber before closing the doors...

A constantly space-shifting, crystal orb of purple energy exuded a blast of light that prompted Starfall to shield himself from the onslaught of Chaos magic that tried to invade his body and turn his stomach into Pineapple. It wouldn't have worked, as he could negate as and expel such magic with a bit of effort using his own magic, but he found that it was much easier to stop the chaos from invading his body all together than expelling it after it already took a hold of his insides.
A dog made out of corndogs suddenly appeared and tried to chomp on his ankle but Starfall dodged the attack before knocking it back with his hooves and dispelling it with a magic blast.
Unlike Normal magic, Chaos Magic had the advantage of being almost instantaneous in a way, but it was more or less because of its nature and the method of usage. The Chaos Magic would invisibly spread around its caster who would have a total (but chaotic) authority in the space he reached. After many weeks of training, Starfall learned how to counter the magic and stop it from passively invading his body, so essentially Discord wouldn't be able to just snap him into compliance.
The research though gave Starfall the idea of trying to use the regular magic in a similar manner. He knew that it wasn't going to be that simple. Pony magic was not suitable to something like this and had a more or less an "effect in point" nature and not an effect somewhere in the area which the Chaos Magic could do effortlessly thanks to its..well.. chaotic nature...
What he needed was a level of control that surpassed anything he could imagine if he wanted to use his own magic in a similar manner, but it was certainly wort it.
Starfall couldn't continue reminiscing about Chaos magic as a...uhh..pair?...of three sided earphones tried to wrap around his head and send him to dreamland...
A cutting spell from his horn cut one part of the earphones causing the remaining two to stop in confusion as they weren't "chaotic" anymore, which promptly caused them to disappear. Another disadvantage of Chaos Magic. It's pretty much limited in its infinity... The moment the magic stops being Chaotic, it just disappears...
Suddenly a hurried knock on the Doors to the chamber resounded and the voice of Twilight came into his ears as he dodged another weird Casserole Mattress thing that spewed chocolate milkshake...
"Starfall! Are you there!? We need your help!... Something weird is happening!" Her voice prompted Starfall to stop his training as a quick command disabled the Purple Crystall and all the Chaotic magic in the Chamber flashed into nonexistence...
He rushed towards the doors and opened it to find a heavy breathing Twilight surrounded by the rest of the mane six.
"Twilight? Girls? What's going on?" He asked already suspecting the answer.
"It's... I-I don't know...I was just getting ready for Celestia's visit when everything in Ponyville started to turn weird! You need to see it and tell me if I'm wrong, because I think it's Chaos Magic!" Her expression was really grim at the moment and all the other girls were also in a state of panic.
"Alright, please don't panic everypony. I'll go and see what's happening while you get the Elements of Harmony in case they are needed. Twily. You have the access to the Storage. Lead them while I go and see what I can do to help." He said, reassuring everyone, while he himself activated his Mage Sight and run up the stairs to check everything by himself.
As he run down the corridor, a small wisp of magic passing over the walls caught his eye, and Starfall instantly upped the strength of his mage sight, which revealed a two dimensional shape of a creature he only saw in a sculpture until now surprising him with his appearance.
He instantly pretended not to notice as to not alarm the Spirit of Chaos about his ability to detect him.
Starfall was curious what Discord wanted to do by following him and wondered whether he heard him talking to the others about the Elements. He didn't notice him then, and the Chaos Research Section where they met had a lot of Chaos suppression runes embedded even in the corridor, so there's a possibility that he didn't, and he just joined him now...Which would make sense considering the Magic Starfall just saw turning the corridor into one of those closed loop corridor illusions... 'Very original...' he thought as the corridor began to elongate into infinity...
He scoffed and disregarded the amateurish illusion by teleporting out of the now looped corridor straight onto the first floor of the Library, enjoying the surprised and annoyed yer curious expression of the invisible Draconequs as he caught up with the Stallion a few seconds later ready to put him into more trouble...
Yeah. It was going to be a long day...

"Are you sure that it is going to work?" Asked Luna worried as she assembled everything similar to how they did the previous day with Starfall.
""How should I know? I'm just the voice in your head"" She replied to herself before rolling her eyes...at herself...
"So why do you use my mouth if your a voice in my head?" She asked only to hear a snort. That one really inside of her mind.
""Obviously, because that makes you look more mental."" She said before once ahead laughing inside her mind while Luna smiled wryly. Moony had a really weird sense of humor, yet she couldn't help but find her an enjoyable company...
*Sigh*"Let's just get to it, alright?" She asked receiving a feeling of agreement from her second personality. She was so relieved that the evil personality was so easy to remove. Apparently other than a lot of mental power she had almost no actual memories that made her whole so Moony simply absorbed the impostor's energy until she replaced her as the second dominant one and to the point when Moony and Luna were both equal... The lack of power or any significant memories also caused the evil one to "poof" out of existence, as the only thing that held her whole was a bit of dark magic from Celestia that got overwhelmed by Luna and Moony working together...
The mare/s set the last flesh container in the appropriate slot and started the process. They didn't know if it was going to work, but they didn't have much time as they needed to warn Starfall about Tia before she arrives.
They had no idea though that she was already on her way...
