Bab 395: 395: The dream of ruins

"W-What is that thing? It is coming after us. Mommy, we need to run before we get caught and die. Mommy…?"

The unthinkable happened in a quaint little village nestled in the heart of the countryside, where life was simple and predictable. Out of nowhere, the sky was set ablaze. It was a phenomenon that had never been witnessed before, a terrifying spectacle that defied all logic.

People ran to save their lives. But those who got stuck by the fire were destined to live out a sad reality where they could neither die nor live. 

It was a purgatory for those who made it thus far in life.

All these people wanted to do was survive, and this could not be truer for the little child tugging at her mother's clothes.

"Mommy! Why are you not walking with me? Hurry up before that thing catches us. We don't have time to wait for Father anymore."
