Bab 317: 317: Why were you allowed inside

The excitement of her new post kept Emily awake throughout the day.

She did not even pay attention to what was going on. And finally, when it came time for her to head toward the Duke's office, Emily skipped to get there.

Everyone else who watched her could not help but think that she had lost her mind, but Emily did not care.

After all, her life-long dream was about to come true. Nothing else mattered compared to that in her mind.

"Duke Victor, it is Emily! May I enter now?"

Emily knocked at the door and waited for it to open. 

Princess Yunjin was already inside when the door opened, and Duke Victor seemed to be rubbing his forehead painedly.

"As I said before, Yunjin! This girl here will be your new maid. I know no one can replace Sui for you, but try to get along with Emily for now. It'll be good to have a companion in these hard times."

The Grand Duke gestured for Emily to come close, and Emily's heart continued to flip.
