Bab 24: new body, again

after seeing all the memories that the grey orb, which cain had figured out was his out old soul, cain finished forming his new soul body. standing up cain was once again in the white room. but instead of the room being purely white, there was an orb of black with roots spreading throughout it now, the parasite. however instead of it being in control of cain's soul, now he was in control of it.

using it he had access to all the abilities it had such as those black tendrils and emotion controls well along with some other things. looking around cain saw the mound of flesh again "is this gonna be something that happens every time I go through a big change?" {cain!} hearing the familiar voice cain looked over to see Enoch's soul floating next to his new body, attached by a thin thread. "oh, hay Enoch." confused at my sudden change Enoch began to question me {what happened? what is that? why are you different?} not having much time as the lightning was getting ready to strike him, cain simply transferred the memories that Enoch would need, something he was able to do thanks to the parasite, or as he was calling it now, his 'soul focus'.

after catching Enoch up to speed, cain began to form his body, again. starting with the base he used the strongest bones he had in stock, sadly he couldn't use the genes he got from the other planets as they were taken by the eldrich and the ones he got from the last planet were used to create the base for his new soul.

while making his skeleton he paid attention to how the bones would work with his base form as he planned to fuse all the knowledge from his previous forms into this one, even the temporary ones like the one he used to battle the wolves when he wanted to travel a far distance. thanks to the strengthening of his soul he could do more at once without getting overwhelmed, effectively making him able to 'slow time' for himself albeit temporarily as constant use would drain his mental energy. using this cain could work much faster on his new body.

after he made his skeleton he began to add the skeletal muscles as a base for his regular muscles and other things. once done with the muscles he started with his internal organs. strengthened liver, kidneys, heart, lungs and others were just the start. he added a smaller organ to his digestive tract from a type of mole he had encountered in the forest which would eat minerals and add them to its claws and teeth. meaning he could do this too now, and maybe even add them to the white room for study and testing later. he changed his liver and kidneys so he could do the same for poisons and the such when encountering them in the future.

he did a general investment in his heart so it would be able to handle his fiscal and magical load better and for longer, while also changing it so his bloodline would be refined and have new bloodlines added to it every circulation. for his lungs and the general immune system he just strengthened them while adding the ability to devour viruses, bacteria and the like so he could add them to his book of tricks.

lastly, his brain and nervous system had special adaptations from a multitude of different animals that specialised in speed, control and intelligence. moving to his external organs his nose was generally enhanced as there was not much other than that he could do. his ears got the same treatment but he also added a function that allowed for echolocation. his eyes, on the other hand, probably got the biggest overhaul out of them all. night vision, heat vision, zoom and general enhancement to viewing clarity and distance as well as an adaption he made himself that would alow him to see the flow of mana, all could be turned on and off at will.

his skin was strengthened in a wide range of ways, heat and cold resistance, resistance to sharp and blunt damage and a special adaptation that would both absorb the mana in the air as well as use it to passively strengthen, enhance and heal it over time. his nails were strengthened and given the ability to lengthen and retract while also using mana to strengthen themselves. his hair was back to black but this time with streaks of dark blue making it look like a starless night sky, it also had all the benefits that his skin and nails had.

some random things he added were gills just under his ears so unless you were looking for them you wouldn't see them, changing his bone marrow so it would do the same as his heart while also making it so that natural medicines could be added as a part of his bloodstream so it would be like he had a constant flow of them, his horns which where black with red tips along with his tail with a blade on the end, the blade was made hollow as it would inject the poisons and venoms that he had absorbed, but for now, it just had a basic toxin made by cain.

the final change he made was a mana pearl. a mana pearl was the beast equivalent to a mana core, but these would absorb mane passively and also help in their 'primal magic' which was them using their bloodlines to manipulate mana in a certain way. he fused this mana pearl with his mana heart, the new name of the fusion of his mana core and heart along with general enhancement to his mana veins with his new knowledge of mana from his breakthrough and new memories.

after optimising the interactions with everything and changing some things so they would work better, he was finally ready to hatch from his cocoon.
