Bab 103: 103. charlotte's request

Jason stroked Alice's hair gently like his own daughter, kissing her forehead passionately. Like a father does when he sees his daughter lying sick in bed. Worry has been hidden from the servants. In front of the servants, Jason looked indifferent and cold towards what had just happened to Alice, but after the servants left the girl's room. Jason's genuine demeanor was exposed, with no fakes in it.

Jason did love Alice and treated her the same way Akira did when Jasmine Kyle was alive. But now Jasmine had died and brought all of Jason's affections to Akira with her as well. In a sense, Jason's affection for Akira only applies when his wife is still alive. But for Alice, it still holds true today, as long as she and Jennifer are in touch.
