A Week Later.
"So, Today is the day?" Ace asked with little excitement leaking in his voice.
Shinobu shook her head "They will arrive tomorrow since Wind Hashira was a little late fighting a demon."
He sighed, his boredom had reached its peak as he waited for the arrival of the meeting. And the lack of any modern entertainment options made this world's slower pace even more dull .
He was initially very excited by the idea of living in a fictional world, but as he lived here for more than a month, the excitement had faded a lot, leaving behind a sense of monotony.
With no TV, mobile phone, or other forms of digital distraction, he found himself yearning for something to break the routine.
Training was good and important, but he wasn't a training maniac who trains every time he can and him coming here wasn't just about getting stronger.
So, one day out of boredom, he tried to release Nezuko and talk to the girl and see what she would do to an unknown person.
But Shinobu… She caught him right before he could release Nezuko and gave him a long lecture, all while pinching his ear. Tch, his ear still hurts.
Ace thought as he threw a pair of dice on the Ludo board, earning a total of eight points, allowing him to advance his piece by eight steps.
"Phew, I am saved," Mitsuri said, breathing a sigh of relief.
"You are lucky it's a luck-based game; otherwise..." Ace teased her with a mischievous grin.
He was playing Ludo with Mitsuri and others to pass the time while he waited for the meeting. He had first tried to play chess with her, but it turned out to be quite hard, as Mitsuri was too dumb to even understand the rules. That's why they settled on Ludo, and for a plus point , it can be played with four people.
Ludo basically was played between 2 to 4 players each having 4 tokens. Then Players will roll a dice to determine how many spaces to move their tokens forward. If they land on an opponent's token, then they can capture it. The goal of the game is to get all of your tokens from the starting area to travel the whole board and come back to your home, while avoiding being captured along the way.
And as all your 4 tokens have come back without being captured , you will win.
"6 & 3" Shinobu rolled.
Mitsuri cried out, "Noooo, please don't eat my piece!"as Shinobu's token captured one of her own.
"Hehe, It seems your luck is down today, Mitsuri-san. My piece is just right behind you. I just need to roll a 6, and you are done. Hahah."
Yuki taunted Mitsuri with an evil smile on her face.
Mitsuri chanted in her mind while sweating, "Kami O Kami, please save me."
"3 & 5" Yuki rolled.
"Yesss!!" Mitsuri celebrated.
"Noooo," Yuki screamed as her piece now moved ahead of Mitsuri's as she didn't have any other piece to move, and now Mitsuri could capture her piece if she rolled a 2.
Mitsuri again rolled the dice, now only needing a 5 to enter her home.
"1 & 3" Mitsuri rolled.
"Why, just why" Mitsuri's frustration grew as her roll neither helped her capture Yuki nor enter her home, leaving her with no other option but to move her remaining piece..
"You two should look at your back "Ace's grin widened as he taunted both of them to look behind them.
Seeing their dumbstruck expressions Shinobu laughed at them in schadenfreude.
"So now, I just either need 4 or 6 to kill you."Ace's said creating tension between them. With the dice in his hand, he rolled.
"4 & 6 "
"Wha–?" Both Yuki and Mitsuri opened their mouths wide at his luck.
But Ace did not revel in joy now but had a serious expression on his face.
Dilemma.
What a scary situation , either he could capture Yuki peice or Mitsuri and didn't know which one to choose.
Looking up ,he saw both of them had pleading expressions while they looked at him.
I looked up at Shinobu for a way but she only smiled in amusement.
" Sigh , I have to move it as I don't have any other piece . Then I have to say sorry to ….." Both of them waited for him to say the name.
But before they could react , Ace directly overturned the board and ran away.
"Now no one will be sad, " Ace shouted as he ran.
"You!!" Both of them ran to catch him as they were shy away from winning and he just threw the board away because he was losing and not because of any dilemma or shit.
Shinobu only gave a content smile looking at them running in the house chasing after each other.

At the time of Lower Moon Rui's Death.
In a small library, a small child with milky white skin and blood-red eyes was deeply engrossed in reading a book.
Despite his cute appearance, with chubby cheeks and a handsome face, a cold and oppressive aura surrounded him. This aura was so intense that it could instil fear in anyone without a strong willpower, even though the boy's appearance suggested otherwise.
His blood-red eyes scanned the pages with a strange intensity, and he occasionally took notes on a piece of parchment beside him. The library was dimly lit, and the child's pale skin seemed almost ethereal in the low light.
Suddenly, the boy's gaze fixated on something written in the book in full concentration, and his entire form began to tremble. His skin began to ripple like water, and a startling transformation occurred. In a matter of moments, the young boy had morphed into an adult figure with a strikingly handsome appearance.
With a maniacal laugh, he exclaimed, "Hahaha, this is it! Finally, I've found it." As he laughed, long, whip-like tentacles extended from his back.
"Son, did you finish your study? It's time to sleep. So come bac– " She wasn't able to finish her sentence before she cut it into a fine mesh of paste with nothing left of her body.
"Shut up, worm. Let me enjoy my time," the man said with a tone of cruelty.
However, before he could fully immerse himself in his sadistic pleasure, his body started to convulse, and long, gruesome gashes began to appear all over his form, exposing the vulnerabilities left behind after his transformation had destroyed the clothes he was wearing.
The gashes that marred his body were a constant, painful reminder of the humiliation he had suffered at the hands of that human.
Despite harbouring a desire for revenge, the very thought of that human made his body tremble with fear and trepidation.
Cowering in fear, he resigned himself to the only course of action he felt capable of: waiting for the human to succumb to old age.
The deep shame and trauma of his past defeat were wounds that could never truly heal, and they haunted him every moment…
Suddenly, a hazy vision unfolded before him. In the midst of the blur, he could see a boy wielding a weapon doing a dance that held the same ferocity of that man.
However, instead of being mesmerised, the man's body began to tremble even more than before. His breath grew laboured, and his legs felt weak. Desperation filled his voice as he muttered, "No, not this time."
With a maniacal determination, he declared, "I will win, no matter what!" His voice crackled with madness as he grappled with the ominous vision and his own fears. While burning the face of that boy in his mind.
