Bab 51: Suicide Pact

"What is this?" Aisling asked.

The handsome man had a solemn look on his face.

"That is what I would like for you to find out." He replied with a sigh. "You know this island is guarded well to prevent curious people from gaining access. We always have twelve guards at night patrolling the boundaries of the rock."

"The report I received from onsite personnel indicates there was nothing unusual about the island last night. However, the guards failed to report at the required intervals in the wee hours of the morning. They investigated immediately and found that these security guards were all in the water." Dante finished.

"Was there an attacker?" Aisling asked.

"We have checked all the security cameras, and there is nothing to indicate the presence of an unknown person on the site. Even our sensors designed to detect invisible entities did not pick up on anything." Dante responded with frustration.
