Bab 78: She Was Down Memory Lane

Getha swiftly yet calmly moved to the person Avidius had pointed to. The person had his head bent down and turned away from Getha's sight, so she could not exactly see the face.

As she took her steps closer to him, Getha saw his physical features, the body structure covered under the thick heavy yet familiar armour he was wearing.

Her steps were taking her through her past experiences, from when she refused to pray to the God of destruction. When her mother scolded her about closing her eyes and saying her prayer to their God.

Despite her refusal, she remembered the intervention of her father who strictly warned not just her, but also her mother about the both of them keeping quiet while the prayer was ongoing.

The memories flowed into her, along with tears that flowed out from her eyes when she recollected the last words said by her father before the arrow impaled him from behind.
