Bab 2: Chapter 2: The Encounter

The sun hung high in the sky, casting a scorching heat upon the land as three horse carriages continued on their journey together. From a distance, the carriages appeared like small dots moving across the vast landscape. Inside one of them, several figures were covered in white blankets, hidden from view. Among them was a man nervously mumbling to himself, his anxiety evident.

"The south isn't safe anymore; I should just live in the mountains," he whispered to himself, contemplating the dangers that seemed to lie ahead.

Suddenly, a deafening sound shook the air, and two of the carriages were flung into the air. Panic and screams filled the air as the passengers scrambled to safety. In the distance, a blue centaur wielding a massive spiky club stood, bellowing in anger.

"Where are you, brown sheep?" the centaur's voice reverberated across the land.

The man beneath the white blanket knew that he had to act quickly. If he didn't intervene, innocent people could be hurt. With a surge of courage, he stood up, throwing off the blanket to reveal his true identity. He was a stocky and muscular man with the upper body of a middle-aged human and the lower body of a goat. His curly white hair cascaded into a short tail at the back, and his expressive blue eyes glistened with determination.

"Here I am, you giant brute!" he shouted at the centaur.

The centaur's eyes narrowed with a devilish smirk. "Found you, brown sheep," he taunted.

Fearlessly, the man with the goat legs retorted, "You want some of this?" He raised his butt towards the centaur, teasing him.

Enraged, the centaur declared, "Don't worry, brown sheep! Once I smash your face, you will join your comrades."

Ignoring the other passengers, the man known as the brown sheep sprinted towards the nearby jungles, with the centaur hot on his trail. The chase was fierce, and the centaur swung his club with relentless fury, tearing through trees as he went. The brown sheep was agile, skillfully avoiding each swing, but the centaur's anger only grew.

With a powerful swing, the centaur struck a tree that sent the brown sheep into a corner. The next strike threw him eight meters away, leaving him with crushed bones and unable to move. Despite his pain, the brown sheep refused to give up.

"Shit, not yet! I haven't tasted all the women races in the north. I can't die yet!" he thought desperately.

As the centaur prepared for the final blow, a sudden shout echoed through the forest.

"Stop right there, evil!"

Both the centaur and the brown sheep turned their attention to a tall, muscular man adorned in armor. His tanned skin and short brown hair exuded an air of heroism, and scars adorned his arms and shoulders. The armor, gifted to him by an ancient high elf mage, resembled dragon scales and was a striking blend of brown leather with red accents. He was Davion, a man who had always aspired to be a hero.

"Do not falter, princess, for I, Davion, will be your hero today!" he declared theatrically.

Both the centaur and the brown sheep were taken aback by Davion's exaggerated theatrics, as if they were witnessing a performance in a local theater.

"Hup!" Davion leaped 20 feet towards the centaur, swinging his sword with gusto.

"Don't underestimate me!" the centaur bellowed, blocking Davion's strike with brute strength.

The centaur's swing was powerful, but Davion's agility and speed proved to be a formidable match. In a whirlwind of exchanges, Davion managed to land a solid hit in the centaur's heart, causing him to collapse.

The brown sheep gazed in awe at the display of bravery and skill he had just witnessed, his consciousness fading as his wounds took their toll. But then, Davion approached and poured a potion on him.

"Oi, brown sheep, wake up," Davion said with concern.

"Oh, yes, thank you... young man," the brown sheep replied, grateful for the help.

As Davion prepared to leave, the brown sheep couldn't help but be curious. "Wait! A while ago, you called me a princess, why is that?" he asked, his cheeks turning a slight shade of red.

Davion furrowed his brows with a hint of distaste. "It's part of my knight training. I will save a princess one day," he explained with sparkling eyes.

The brown sheep pondered for a moment, a sly grin forming on his face. "You want to save a princess, right?" he asked.

With excitement in his voice, Davion replied, "Yes! Do you know someone?"

A mischievous glint appeared in the brown sheep's eyes as he hurriedly said, "In exchange for helping me, I'll bring you to a princess I know."

And so, Davion and the brown sheep shook hands, sealing their newfound alliance. "Lihp, by the way," the brown sheep introduced himself.

"Davion," the armored man replied.

"Davion? That's a unique name I haven't heard since I was a kid, from the stories, right?" Lihp remarked.

"My grandfather gave it to me," Davion explained.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape, Lihp and Davion set off together, bound for an adventure that would take them to the far reaches of their world.
