Bab 167: Sacred Place

Years ago, before either of them were married, Zurak and his brother ran hastily through the field, each man clutching his sword tightly. Their grandfather, the greatest priest in the land, had summoned them.

"Grandfather does not like us being late," his brother Kunle said, racing excitedly.

Zurak rolled his eyes. "I'm sure you're excited for one of his many stories, but Kunle, he always repeats the same tales. It's rather boring."

Kunle shrugged. "Grandfather is wise, and all his stories have lessons."

Zurak nodded and raced along with Kunle.

When they reached the top of a small mountain, they saw him draped in white and red cloth. "Ah," Zurak sighed. "There he is. I would rather we have a duel."

"No, let's meet him first," Kunle said excitedly, racing towards their grandfather.

"Grandfather," they said in unison, sitting on the ground behind him.
