Within minutes, Yue Mei and her manager were summoned to the backstage lounge.

Yue Mei entered, her demeanor a mix of nervousness and defiance. Her manager followed closely behind.

Both were quite stunned to see Yang Lingyun in the room who radiated a noble aura. Their trance was broken by Director Du's blunt voice.

"Did you pay a technician to tamper with the stage light?"

Director Du's question was very direct and it caught Yue Mei off guard. 

"What? I don't know what you're talking about..." She feigned innocence and stepped behind her manager, using him as a shield.
