"Why not possible?" Song Zhuyu countered with a chuckle as he held Rui Ye's wrists, pulling them away from his face. "And what did I just say about self-restraint? Please don't touch my face when your fingers are smeared with ointment, Rui-Ge."

"Oh, I forgot!" Rui Ye was quick to withdraw his hands and admit his mistake sincerely. "I'm sorry, I didn't get any on your face, did I? Wait, so are you insinuating that… I might be allowed to touch your face if I wash my hands clean?" he tilted his head slightly, his tone brimming with hope and expectations. 

"Ha!" Song Zhuyu couldn't suppress a laugh tinged with amusement and helplessness. He propped his cheek up with a hand and enjoyed teasing the man to the fullest. "I don't recall ever saying something like that. Why are you so skilled at finding loopholes in my words?"
