Bab 68: Satellite Phone

Mrs. Ma froze, her eyes widening in shock. "How did you…"

"Ah, so my hunch is correct," Song Zhuyu's smile broadened. "You and Madam Su Hai just gave off a certain vibe… if you know what I mean." He chuckled meaningfully, and the older woman's expression hardened. 

He had actually wanted to inquire whether there were others from outside the village aside from the two of them, but somehow he had a hunch that her patience was barely hanging on a thin line, and pressing forward would do him more harm than good. Even though Father Song had gotten accustomed to using his good looks to charm his way through most situations, he also knew when to exercise discretion. Especially in front of Mrs. Ma, who was clearly uncomfortable being in his presence.

He simply couldn't understand – why would she consider red the color of devils? Was it a custom from where she came from, or was there another deeper reason?
