Bab 58: Chapter 58

Bastian stood in front of her while she considered his question. Was she ready to discuss what happened that night? She wasn't sure the images of the gashes across his chest would ever go away. Or his snarl as he lunged at her. But she ached for him. She bit her bottom lip. Would she want to never see him again? No. 

"I'm ready," she whispered. 

He sat in front of her. "Please eat."

Twyla looked down at her food. Wafts of chili, cinnamon and warm spices hit her. There was no way to resist. The heat of the spices were perfectly balanced and it warmed her body. She demolished her bowl before Bastian spoke again. 

"Good?"
