Bab 30: Chapter 30

Twyla woke up with a start. Where was she? Her hand flew to her throat but there was no makeshift bandage. She couldn't even feel bite marks. She squeezed her shoulder blades and there wasn't any pain. What was going on? Her heart was pounding. Did Aurora heal her? Is that what happened? Had Aurora healed her so that she could torture her again? Why was the stone floor so soft? Was Twyla losing her mind? 

"Calm down or your heart will explode," a voice in the dark. A fire lit up across from her and lights glowed from the ceiling. 

She wasn't in the cell anymore. Sitting next to her with a tumbler of dark liquid was the Vampire King.

It all came back to her. She remembered how he had come into her cell and tried to take her away. She had protested and he had bitten her. That bite must have put her to sleep.
